    My preferred 2017 Sixers:

PG – Knight, Fox, Ish Smith

You acquire Knight via trade with PHX for Noel and Covington for 13 + Knight.  Colangelo has the PHX connection.  PHX has Chandler and Alex Len, I don’t see them making this trade if they pick up Skal (extremely raw, questionable IQ), but being that PHX likely is going to draft Bender they need an immediate impact player and Noel is good value for the 13th pick.

I like De’Aaron Fox a ton after watching 3 HS AS games.  Fultz is anice player but too young. Fox is a floor general who loves playing defense.  Why trade Oak for Dunn (sixers would likely take Dunn with 3 being that they’ve said they are looking for defensive specialists.  My preference is Murray for Oak if that deal was to happen, but I don’t like the deal.  I’d rather keep Oak, use Embiid on the perimeter, and trade Noel for Knight and 13.  Knight is a scorer who can then play with Fox and you have a really solid backcourt, with Ish Smith as a hell of a third PG.

SG: Kormaz, Valentine, possibly Josh Jackson

Draft Kormaz or Valentine with the Noel pick at 13.  Both guys are shooters, I really like Kormaz size at 6’7”.  He has a high IQ, slightly weak defense.

2017 if you get lucky with your own pick, you can take Josh Jackson.  I don’t love him, I just really like him.  Sixers need to address SG via FA.  Fox could play with Knight as your two guards which I think would work fine with our bigmen.

    SF: Simmons or Ingram

On paper I like Ingram better.  I’d rather see him catch and shoot and be the guy late in the game.  This way we have our go-to guy down the stretch and we have plenty of ball handlers.  But I can understand taking Simmons as he is a force and 6’10” 240 is hard to pass.  Simmons is not a go to guy and late in games when you need the star, you are definitely going to struggle from the guard position if you need a bucket from distance.

    PF: Embiid, Saric

Embiid is PF if keep Okafor, which I prefer.  Embiid can close out on stretch 4s and can also himself be a stretch 4.  He will command a double team in the post and if you double team him at 7’2” 280, uhh what will you do with Okafor who murders people 1 on 1 as a rookie.  This is why I need to see them play together before I make a silly move of trading Okafor for a PG when next year’s draft is really PG and big-man healthy.

    C: Okafor, Holmes

Keep Embiid and allow him to play the 4.  Okafor requires a double team and eats up chumps like Thompson and Kevin Love.  Will be great to see Okafor another year with more of a supporting cast.

    Your 2017 Philadelphia 76ers (if I was GM)….

    PG: Knight, Fox, Smith

SG: Kormaz, Stauskas (door open for Josh Jackson)

    SF: Ingram (Simmons), Covington, Grant

    PF: Embiid, Saric

    C: Okafor, Holmes

Thats a lot of scoring and length for defense, without any Free Agents

Your 2017 Sixers if Colangelo does Colangelo type of stuff.

    PG:  Dunn, Smith

SG:  Avery Bradley or Marcus Smart, Stauskas, Cannonball (possibly Monk or Josh Jackson)

    SF:  Simmons

    PF:  Noel, Saric

    C:  Embiid, Holmes

Colangelo has said they want to be defense oriented.  They are also working out multiple top players (including Dunn), aside from Simmons and Ingram, which makes you think about the Colangelo-Ainge Okafor for Dunn trade.  Serious need for a 2-guard and perimeter scoring, it is virtually absent.  Would be solid defensively, just atrocious offensively besides Embiid.

Sixers should put Simmons at PG in big lineups if they want to give the rest of the frontcourt some more minutes. Even if just for 15mpg. SF definitely isnt his spot.

Then in small lineups, stick him in the Lebron Point Forward role.

Simmons can easily play PG… just put him next to a combo guard that can defend quicker PGs and knock down open shots.

His passing and ball handling is more than adequete and if they stick a smaller guard on him, he can abuse them in the paint like he did all season at LSU.

I think theres going to be some razzle dazzle in Philly with Simmons at the point. Would be even more though if the team had some players that could keep up with him in the open floor.

Which is why I do not see them trading Noel.  Nerlens can keep up with Simmons, relatively well.  He blocks shots and throws a mean outlet pass.  It would be fun to watch 2 almost 7 footers run a fast break with a lob and dunk at the end.  Too bad New Orleans didn’t get the first pick, now that would have been fun.

Jah can keep up wit Simmons too hes nust like Cousins in his mobility i dunno why people still think hes slow go waTch his rookie tape.  In fact hes an even better fit cuz he has way better hands while Noels are suspect and can actually hit a jump shot.  Jah shot 69% from FT his mid range came a long way and will only get better
