Watching him play, he has spurts of energy but at 350 lbs. and being 37 I cant see him being a productive starter anymore…i dont see the heat going after him, they just got Ilgauskas who pretty much fills their need as an experienced center

When i was little my Grandmother she use to say mind how you speak about other people..
Becuz what you say about them might come back & happen to you..
During Patrick Ewing final years in Seattle & Orlando .Ewing was around 37 or 38 and still trying to hang on..
Someone asked Shaq about Ewing still hanging on at age 37..Shaq said at the time that he would retire before he get that age ..
But Shaq can still be a load to handle in the post..Even though he’s 38..He still can score in the post and grab about 9 or 10 rebounds..But he lacks speed on the defensive end….

Whoever decides to sign Shaq has to understand one thing. He is of little value to you if you don’t dump him the ball in the post at least some of the time. You clearly can’t run an offense through him but he’s not the athlete he was. He’s not the defensive presence he once was. Teams can expose him in the pick and roll and he’s not a prolific rebounder but he can still get you double figure points. You have to run some plays for him the post or he isn’t going to do much for you. If you do feed him in the post you can a) keep the defense honest 2) get the opposite teams bigs in foul trouble 3) keep Shaq engaged in the game. That’s the only way he can provide value for a team. Whether he is a starter or a bench player, that is the key.
