I’ve been hearing that Adidas is going to play a part in this recruitment…

Look for him to go to UCLA…

I have a feeling with probably almost all of kentuckys team leaving for the draft, he’ll end up choosing the wildcats, followed quickly by Nerlens Noel

My gut feeling is that he’ll go to UCLA. Outside of UNLV, it’s the school closest to him, they have a great recruiting class coming in headlined by Kyle Anderson, he and his dad love the coach, Ben Howland, and they’re returning several key players that finished the season 12-7 in conference.

if he goes to UCLA they would prolly be preseason number 1 with all that talent…

Larry Drew, Kyle Anderson, Jordan Adams, Tyler Lamb (who is underated), Powell, Wear Twins, Josh Smith and Muhammed

shabazz is coming to Cameron. the headline austin rivers declares for the nba draft is all he needed to see. Now he can play for an elite coach and basically the team will be his and mason plumlees(if god loves us he will tell mason to stay another year). besides who else is going to score for duke? seth and andre cannot be trusted

Uk doesn’t wear royal. But I do hope he comes to Lexington, dunno if he will. Also no way UCLA would be preseason #1 with Shabazz, the players they have aren’t that good, if they were they wouldn’t be 19-14 in the god awful pac-12

Obviously I’m a bruin fan, so I am slightly biased but if Josh smith comes in at 290-310 pounds as apposed to his 350 now we have so much talent.

    PG: Kyle Anderson/Larry Drew

    SG: Norman Powell/Jordan Adam

    SF: Shabazz/Tyler Lamb

    PF: Travis Wear/David Wear

    C: Joshua Smith/Tony Parker/Anthony Stover

If Shabazz and Parker come, which is possible, I see no reason we can’t win it all. We would have 7 former mcdonalds all americans, we would have crazy talent. Washington, UCLA, Arizona, and Cal will make the conference respectable next year.

Wowwww UCLA gonna win it all next year? I love Kyle Anderson, he is my favorite prospect in his class, but they still are not going to final four caliber even with Shabazz. The Wear twins are garbage. I’m a big Joshua Smith fan, but the reality is that he is never going to be anything better than ordinary either. So if they got Shabazz, I see the only 2 REAL GOOD players on this team being them. Lamb is not that great either, a role player. The Wear twins are really nothing special. Larry Drew is no good either. You guys can not be so biased and declare that UCLA will win it. Be realistic and then you won’t be disappointed next year. They couldn’t even come close to dominating the horrible Pac-12 this year let alone dominating the whole country.

the wear twins are garbage? I stopped reading right there. You clearly dont know what you are talking about, those guys are damn good bigs right now and only getting better. 19-14 and playing better as the season wore on is not the end of the world. ANderson and shabazz are both top 5 recruits. Obviously predicting a titel is wishful thinking for any team but not out of the question for ucla if they do land shabazz.

I never said we WILL win it all, I said we have a decent chance. Josh smith being anything better than ordinary? He was a former number one recruit in his junior year, before he went from 285 to 320 pounds when he got injured his whole senior year which stopped him from working out. He has all the physical tools being 6’10 with a 7’2 wingspan, soft hands, and when slimmer he has good athleticism. Josh is testing the waters cause he knows even at 350+ some scout will draft him on potential alone first round. But it is his best interest to come back at about 300 and dominate the NCAA. Plus Norman Powell is the darkhorse, he is the most dynamic athlete we have had since westbrook, and hopefull he can make a westbrookesque leap in his freshman to sophmore year.

But i think he may end up at Duke next year if not UNLV. Duke has no go to guy and their only recruit is 6’3 sg Saliumn(spell check) who doesnt look like he can create for himself and others just yet. Kentuck already got two recruits that play sg/sf position in Archie Goodwin, and Alex Polythress. Also UCLA may lost alot of ground when that article came out about them even though Sabazz said it has no effect, and Kyle Anderson is going to be a Evan Turner at Ohio State type player who needs the ball to be at his best.  So i think Shabazz Muhammand and Tony Parker end up at Duke with the departures of Rivers and more than likely Plumme

I believe Duke fans have already given up on Tony Parker, if you check their forums.

i did say we would win it all, but some people around here take things too seriously. I also say the raiders are gonna win the superbowl every year.

The bruins are gonna be fine next year. A lot of their sorry play this season was becasue they didnt know who they were early on. The whole reeves nelson situation, jerime andersen being suspended, not knowing how to use the wear twins where howland had them playing sf at times. Trying to over use josh smith before realizing he made no progress. The team got a lot of those kinks worked out during the year and were solid down the stretch. WIth almost everyone coming back and if they can add two big time recruits, they will be right in the mix with the top teams in america.

@Woowoo Yeah man tbh I doubt we get either. Tony Parker’s parents love Duke and it’s obvious they want Tony to go there, but I can tell Tony has gobbled up all the negative recruiting coaches told him and there’s no way he comes to Durham.

Shabazz could come to Duke, but imo we have the most depth at the SG/SF positions than any other school on his list. We have Sulaimon, Dawkins, Gbinije, and Murphy who all look like they’ll be getting significant PT next year. Of course Bazz is head and shoulders above them on the depth chart but it has to be in the back of his mind that we have so many players at that position.

I’m still going to stand by the statement that Bazz goes to UCLA even though I think he fits better at Kentucky if they get Noel. Bazz is also taking his final official visit to UCLA just days before he makes his decision.

Hell, by the way Tony Parker talks about UCLA I bet he really wants to go there too.

They’re both announcing their decison on ESPNU on April 11…so I think UCLA fans will be very happy that day. And Duke fans will be in full panic mode that day as well…

I do not think they are anything above role players. I didn’t literally mean garbage, but I mean they are really nothing special. I mean I just consider 10 and 6 in the Pac 12 to be a role player. They’d probably be putting up about 8 and 4 if they were still at Carolina. Maybe not garbage, but not anything special either. I think they are both soft and I don’t see either of them as having much potential.

I hope that he goes to Kentucky simply because I believe it will be best for his NBA career.  No other coach is doing what John Calipari is doing with top talent, usually in one year none the less.

UK or UCLA. My gut though says UK will ultimately win out on this one. Like someone else said, he will sign with Nerlens shortly behind. Probably another player or 2 thereafter. Possibly Anthony Bennett.

    Noel

    Wiltjer

    Bennett

    Shabazz

    Harrow

    ———–

That could definitely make for champions. Especially if a player or 2 were to come back between MKG,Jones, or Teague.

I agree with you APB, I think it would be best for him to go to Kentucky. He can take over the MKG role with even more of a scoring output. The other prospect I think that would obviously fit in perfect is Nerlens Noel filling Anthony Davis’ role. The one thing is that I am really really high on Archie Goodwin who is already committed to Kentucky at the 2, and Alex Poythress is gonna be their 3, even though Shabazz would start over either, maybe Shabazz might go elsewhere. You forgot about those two IguaPops, they might be just as good as anyone you listed. I watched multiple games of Goodwin who is a real good looking 2guard and I saw a game where Poythress was the leader of the team him and Jabari Parker were on by far. Parker is a year younger, but a lot of scouts thing he is the best HS player in America reguardless of class. But they would obviously be able to work in some kind of lineup like they did this year with the overload of talent. The one person who I think really NEEDS to go to Kentucky is Noel though.

Oh yeah, I actually had forgotten about Goodwin and Poythress both. I’d expect Archie to come off the bench for instant scoring while Poythress and Wiltjer man the forward spots for floor spacing.Nerlens, like you said, will play the Davis role of rim protector with Shabazz and Harrow being a simply electric starting backcourt. Shabazz will probably get a lot of burn at the 3 with Archie and Alex splitting time(may even see a Harrow/Goodwin/Muhammed/Poythress/Noel lineup at times) depending on matchups and who’s playing better.

The only thing that worries me is can Wiltjer play the 4 full time and would Noel be able to stay out of foul trouble like Davis which is highly unlikely. But if the roster ended up like you said with Bennet, I think he would be able to play the Terrence Jones roll and this team would even be nastier than this year posibly, although it is unlikely everyone will come. Its funny because a big part of me loves seeing all that talent on a single team, but thinking about it, even more of me loves seeing each individual player leading their individual teams but that does not seem like the trend anymore in basketball on the professional or collegiate level.

Gut feeling is UCLA but wouldn’t be surprised if he came to UK.  I think we get Noel though.  I’ll defiantly check him out in the PAC-12 though.  The same PAC-12 that has two teams in the final four of the N.I.T
