shabazz muhammad will be the 1st pick in the 2013 draft for several reasons. he is the best competetor not in the nba today, he is the most aggresive player i have seen out of high school in a long time, with a moter that literally never stops. he loves slashing to the basket and if thats not there he has a jumper that is as automatic as it gets at his age. he will never stop trying to get better because of his two idols in basketball ( jordan and kobe). his right hand is developing at a rapid pace and i don't know what everyone is talking about with this small forward idea, he will play the 2-guard in the nba. he gives all out effort on defence, he just needs better technique, and well everyone do the math on that( ben howland). im betting jordan and the bobcats will have the 1st pick next year and i can see jordan trying to replicate the old bulls. enough said!!!!!
Kemba/Shabazz/MKG sounds nice
i think jordan would have taken shabazzz 2nd overall in this past draft
I do agree that he should be the #1 pick in the draft, but his jumper is far from automatic and his ball-handling needs work. He can get by defeners at this level and below with his strength, long first step and aggression but at the next level they'll be able to play off him and still contest his jumper. He's very aggressive, but his aggression also leads to him playing with blinders on. He's gonna have to improve his floor game and improve his playmaking or else teams are just gonna load up on him and force him to take even tougher shots.
I think Jordan will help him with that just a tad lol, huh. he is the best player ever and one of shabazz idols. he absorb tips from him like a spounge and his jumper is great. its improved drastically since the start of his senior year.
Is Jordan offering tips and helping out any other Bobcats player? If not, then why not? Is Jordan gonna help MKG get that hitch out of his shot? Is he gonna help Kemba with his shot selection? Is he gonna help Gerald Henderson develop his handle? Bismack needs work with his post footwork, I'm sure Jordan could help. How come he didn't work with Adam Morrison on mental toughness? Tyrus and his shot selection?
Jordan is an executive, not a player development coach.
its 4 games into the year for mkg and the others don't show they want it enough. jordan will love shabazz for all the reasons i stated above. motor that never quits and a desire tobe great that will remind him of him self. shabazz got his attension at the nike hoops summit game. look it up!!!!!! if he wants to win he better start showing up at practice and teaching these guys what he knows cause the coaches sure aint teaching anything.
That's not MJ's job.
Actually there was a story a while back where Henderson and MJ grew to have a great relationship through golf and MJ would always give helpful tips on the basketball court.
With Henderson likely leaving town next year, I could definitely see Bazz getting the same treatment from MJ.
True that is not Jordan's job but he is not your typical owner/chairman. That is an incredible understatment considering he is the greatest basketball player ever. I am sure he is giving constant advice and helping players with their games. Now that he is majority owner I think he will be playing a little less golf and putting more of his hand prints on his team.
As a Bulls fan the last guy I want Charlotte to get is Shabazz. Their #1 pick, 2016 unprotected, 2015 top 8, that belongs to the Bulls will be less valuable as I think he would help them win faster more than any other player in this supposedly weak draft.
Then I have to worry about them getting Wiggins!
I have been saying for awhile that Bulls should trade that pick and Deng or one of their big contracts for something, because sooner or later the Bobcats have to hit big on one of these top picks that they have year after year.
Although if Jordan does somehow continue to make terrible draft decisions and that pick does end up being a top pick in 2016, that will be very nice to pair with a still young, 27-year old Derrick Rose.
I'm not high on Shabazz but I need to see him in college before I write him off or praise him. I think his midrange game is excellent for a high schooler. He makes tough shots but for me, he had to take way to many tough jumpers. He won't be as big if a bully is college. Also, he isn't an elite athlete. He is a good one. I think these things are worrisome for me. Like I said, I need to see him in college before I am sold.
