Whats going on with scouts and height . I think they have the formula wrong and it happens all the time they give a guy a neg for being not a great athlete as far as run jump or they give someone a neg for short arms. This system doesnt, account for players wit great change of direction speed like,a deron williams doesnt give credit to kevin love for his hustle or it knocks blake griffin for having extreme athleticism regardless of short arms and it doesnt take into effect playets might actually gain athleticism working with the best trainers. According to scouts durant was bad athlete bu Aat he has a 7 5 wingspan and hes quick so someone might have higher vert but he gets higher with his reach. This scouting method is why dejaun blair goes in second round even tho he dominated the second pick in that years draft that, year

Also had no ACL’s, so he is seen as a walking time bomb as far as injury is concerned. He is short for a PF, but the guy is huge, strong and has a ridiculous wing span also (I think like 7’2.5), so I think he fell more because of his injury concerns rather than due to his height. Also, all of the players you listed were top 5 draft picks, one even went first. Are you talking about writers/observers or scouts? I think the system does look at height and size because that is something that can give you a big advantage in basketball on both ends of the floor. But all of those players you listed were taken fairly high in the draft, even with their somewhat legitimate concerns about their future success as NBA players. Kevin Love is a total beast who has a fantastic basketball IQ, and even with concerns over his size (Though they were put to rest as he measured at least a legit 6’9), the guy has a fantastic basketball skill set. Deron Williams went 3rd in the draft over Chris Paul, so people were not exactly down on him, and for all the concerns of Kevin Durant’s athletic ability/strength, he was the 2nd pick in the draft. Blake of course, went first. So, I can understand size being overrated in some cases, but you need fresher examples my man.
