I have been wondering why is everyone writing off the San Antonio Spurs?

The big three should be back and in good health, they bring in two of the most NBA ready rookies in James Anderson and Tiago Splitter, and Richard Jefferson and Dajuan Blair should definately make huge improvements. They finally have the debth to legitamately rest the big 3 for a late season/playoff run, and George Hill has looked incredible (opposed to what he had been expected to do).

Am i missing something here? are there majory injury concerns coming into the season or anything else i may have missed. I would say IF they stay healthy, they could definitely compete for a top 2 or 3 seed, especially if Carmello is moved, and everyone would have to agree they give the Lakers hell when healthy. And lets not forget they have the "best coach in the league" according to the Steve Nash. As one of the only Spurs fan on this site, and in the world it seems, i am really trying my best not to be too biased.

tim duncan is not the dominating big man that he was 3 years ago thats the problem. they will still make the playoffs but they’re not even close to being a championship calibur team. after getting swept by the suns was a sign that the spurs era is over
