With all this salary cap talk I came up with a game of sorts, lets see if we can put together some competitive, and in some cases better teams then some of the real GM’s without going over the salary cap which is 58.04 million. So some rules, there should be no more then two rookies on a team, and in this game you can only put one person from this years first round on your team. If players are free agents or restricted free agents you have to give them market value for a player of their caliber, it should be easy to find out what a team would pay for them by looking at past signings. You also have to have a full 12 man roster. There are a few websites where you can find salaries. So build you best team, be craetive and have fun.

@RobertFreeman, this was a fantasic idea. Maybe what we can do is only use players once, and if you have nba 2k, you can simulate the games between these teams, sort of like a tournament.
