valentinesorme people may remember a center being picked 10th in the draft with this name but apparently their is a 6-3 soccer player in mls who is at least a relevant player, odd that they have same name.

JoeWolf1Sene isn’t the worst player in the world. He just should have been a mid-late 2nd round pick, but unfortunately….he was taken 10th overall.
He has always put up solid numbers playing in the D-League or overseas, but he’s just not suited to be anything more than an end of the bench player in the NBA.

mikeyvthedonParticipantPlus he was the first Bismack Biyombo. I guess ONLY having 9 blocks in the Hoop Summit caused him to slip those few spots to 10. Does anyone remember seeing him on draft day?
I just remember a really skinny dude with a really ugly suit. Oh, 2006, you were a strange draft. Well, by 2008 he was the NBADL Defensive Player of the Year. The Sonics went ham looking for big men and Sene was a surprising 10 pick. He had ideal length, just not ideal basketball acumen or really anything else. At the very least, Biyombo had some muscle mass to him. More than one could say for Sene.

JoeWolf1^They were collecting bigs for a while there. Robert Swift, Johan Petro and Sene in consecutive years. Who would have thought it would take losing out on Greg Oden to turn their team around?

I still have my fingers crossed that Rich 7-59 Genius Cho brings him to the Summer League. If he thought bringing in one shot blocking backup center from a middling cash-strapped Spanish league club was a good thing, then certainly bringing in the guy who replaced his lottery pick and had as close to identical numbers as humanly possible would be even better, right?
