druneave3ParticipantFirst, two amazing dunks from this game. McLemore caught the ball in stride on secondary break was found beautifully by a little flip from Ray McCallum and banged it over…dude I forgot. CJ Aiken caught a crazy lob with one hand way above the rim and switched hands on the way down.
McLemore struggled early in this game but that 3rd quarter, that just ended, he was in the zone. We see this all the time from him. I thought there was always too much bad with the good when it came too him. I see him standing and looking lazy at times in this game. Announcer mentioned body language. He needs to be focused and involved, engaged, for entire games and seasons. If he can do that…… His play in that 3rd quarter inspired me to write this thread. I took him out of my #1 spot halfway through the year because I thought he was too lethargic at times, and flashed his potential greatness way too infrequently. I thought he would never find that constant ferociousness that Mike and Kobe had. If he does, it is crazy to say he has a chance to mentioned with the best SG’s, but his potential is insane. Not breaking any news with that and it is only one quarter of a SL game, but I root for greatness.
Ray McCallum looking really good. Definite spot for him in the league.

Meditated StatesParticipantCan seriously make things happen. Wait until he has better targets.

CavFanPRParticipantI was more impressed with Schroeder. He didn’t have fancy dunks but he is very skilled. Nogueira had a block party early on! Hawks have some great young talent.

druneave3ParticipantThe Rondo comparison is real with that length, craftiness, defense, and passing. This and Nogueira’s solid play were two things I forgot to mention.

XYRYXParticipantI have seen the highlights of the game and I’m happy for Ben that he finally had a good scoring game. He really seemed to be fascilated to get the monkey of his back for the first time. Don’t think this is something like a coming out but at least it’s a start. Had some really nice dunks!
Happy to see you guys enjoy watching Schröders game. I think he has a long way to go but he is special, has a good feel for the game tempo and doesn’t try to do too much. My main concerns are his slim frame, I don’t think he can ever really put on more muscles. Rondo put on 20 pounds a few years back aand this really helped his game a lot.

JaeEvolutionParticipantSchroeder will come off the bench and feast on backup PG’s defensively, it will be the perfect area for him to grow in his rookie year backing up Teague instead of getting thrown into the fire as a starter. Nogueira was having his best game in summer league until the injury. Hopefully Ferry decides to bring him over and let him develop his body as he said it would be a struggle for him to do so in the Spanish league.
Estatic about the young talent the Hawks managed to obtain in the draft. Schroeder is destined to be a respected floor general in what many have compared to a young Rondo, and hopefully Nogueira can add 10-20 lbs and anchor our defense as a Center we’ve so desperately needed. 3-4 years from now I am excited as to what these two will be able to produce for the Hawks.

RafterParticipantMcLemore has a truly beautiful shooting form and is a great athlete. He just needs to be engaged on every possession because he’s too talented to take plays off or go easy. He’s showing improvement in iso situations but it’s hard to gauge how much he’s improved due to the landscape nonetheless I’m starting to see why Aran coveted him as the site’s #1 prospect.
Really impressed by the way Nogueira blocked those shots. He didn’t volley them beach-ball style instead he tapped them which either went to a team-mate or started a fast-break, that’s effective shot-blocking. To really take it to the next level he should work on his off-hand a bit more so that he can block shots with either hand effectively.
