I understand that he got drafted even though he was like the 5th option at fsu, but can some one explain to me y ppl are freaking out because of it? Y arent they saying anything about other poterntial obvious bust, maybe im missing something but people are not neccesarily overating him, but he put up respectable numbers in summer league

I think its because (and he wasnt the only one in this draft) he would have probably went undrafted and they didnt need to use a draft pick on him

Its mostly because he sucks. He was a fringe starter in the ACC. I went to FSU for a while, and he is a nice big guy for a college team to have, but he is just a very average college basketball player. There is no way if there was 100 picks in the draft he would have even got a look from anybody. He is a glue guy, so maybe they just wanted to bring some muscle in and say Charles Oakley potential in him. But he is maybe 6’8, does nothing offensively at an NBA level, and isn’t really that skilled.

It makes no sense to me, and I’ve watched him play live several tines. I think that some scout was probably overthinking this big time.

my cousin played for fsu and he had no help watsoever from reid. reid started a few games alongside al and i kno he was young back then but even when i saw a few games his senior year ried looked as though he hadnt prgressed at all in his game. thats y i dont understand how sylven landesburg didnt get drafted. i mean i kno they play different positions but hes light years ahead of ried
