moximusParticipantBoth are still learning how to hone their games as PG, both are fast and ultra athletic. If you must choose between the two as your PG, would you take?

delfamParticipantat his point Westbrook is a ton better than Wall, but I really wouldn’t want either of them on my team. It might just be me but I like the traditional point guard who controls tempo and passes. These guys don’t know how to control tempo and change pace.

WizardofOzParticipantThey play similar, but I’d take Wall. I really think Westbrook is a SG masquerading as a PG. Wall is a PG, but just needs to hone more of his skills.

JaeEvolutionParticipantRight now, if you look at the stats of the two players they are pretty much identical in EVERY category except one which is why I’ll take Westbrook because he is one of the best FT shooters in the league and can get to the line anytime he want, John Wall can also do the same but he is not nearly as good a FT shooter.
Both have horrendous FG%, turn it over from being out of control, have toxic attitudes, but if I had to take one it’s def Westbrook.

WizardofOzParticipant^^How the fuck does Wall have a toxic attitude?

delfamParticipant^ cause you can tell he hates his teammates and thinks he’s better than them. He probably is but by having that attitude it rubs the team the wrong way and they won’t play for him.

Scottoant93Participant^^^ I was actually about to say the same thing, other then the dougie(not a bad thing, but I guess some people see it as immature), I don’t see him doing anything wrong. Now Blatche(spelling?), and Mcgee on the other hand
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/29/2011 - 11:23am #619364
Scottoant93Participantmy comment was directed to the wizardofoz
but @Delfam cmon you have to admit he has some pretty bad teammates, Blatche(spelling again?) is a cancer and writes bs on his twitter of how hes gonna put this team on his back and then sucks, you have Javale Mcgee throwing up wild shots like this is and 1 basketball, and jordon crawford who basically is a chucker.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/29/2011 - 11:33am #619369
delfamParticipantyes they do suck, but as a PG and the supposed leader of the team you can’t show your emotions, everyone can tell Wall thinks his team sucks but you can’t exude that, it brings the whole morale of the team down knowing your supposed best player thinks he’s better than everyone. He’s just as much of a cancer as those guys.

Yo mammaParticipantToday I watched I Am Legend and realized that after years of surviving on his own, it only took Will Smith 24 hours to die after a woman showed up. Also she ate his bacon. So not chill

Future_Scoutif i had durant (a star) on my team, john wall. if not, westbrook

wuteverParticipantTry putting Westrbrook in Walls shoes. With two retarded but talented big men and a coach who has basically lost the locker room. I don’t believe Westrbrook has the audacity to even think about talking back to Duran when he went for 0-13. As talented as Westbrook is, he dominates the ball so much taking enough touches away from Durant. And honestly I can’t see Wall having a toxic attitude, when he is one of the hardest workers on his team. Westbrook has weapons to pass to like Durant and Harden. What bout Wall? He has Nick Young and Andray Blatche? Two players that when they touch the ball never leaves their hands.

Snubs15ParticipantIn my opinion neither players have toxic attitudes at all. I never see John wall acting like hes better than his teammates. He might look frustrated at times but that doesnt mean he has a toxic attitude or that he hates his teammates.
As of right now i would take Westbrook for his scoring ability and his defense. But for the future I would take John Wall because he shows more playmaking skills, and has the ability to defend and score almost as good as Westbrook already.0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/29/2011 - 1:34pm #619401
delfamParticipant^ but as a PG you have to show calm and poise so you can lead your team, which Wall doesn’t have. It’s also very hard to develop it so we’ll see if he can show composure in the future.

river09ParticipantI’d go with Wall. Westbrook just isn’t a PG, he’s a SG that brings the ball down the court.. Wall does still have a PG mentality with looking for the open teammate.. Personally I don’t understand the fascination with scoring "PG"’s like Westbrook.. He is a great player.. But I don’t see the upside for the team as a whole..

FastAndFuriousParticipantWestbrook, he can stick the mid range, is super explosive, and while not a true PG he gets the job done in OKC whether you want to admit it or not, each year he’s improved his stats the Thunder have won more games and went farther in the post season, he is a super talent, just needs to slow down a little bit.

Sam_HinkieParticipantI personally have no problem with a scoring point guard. It just depends on the makeup of your team. If I was OKC I’d probably take John Wall as I think he’s slighlty less ball dominant and a better passer. Westbrook can be pretty unstoppable at times though, especially when the jumper is falling. If you want a pure point guard then you may not want either of these guys, But if you’re team has either of them then you can’t complain. Top 5 point guard talents, top athletes, and fun to watch.

JaeEvolutionParticipantMaybe toxic wasn’t the right word, but I don’t think hes always supportive as he can be of his teammates, not really his fault they are bad but don’t give up on them, dig down and inspire them to do their jobs that’s the kind of leadership I want to see from him and I just think he is not that mature as of yet, sorry toxic was improper to say.

DipoTimeParticipantAll I have heard lately is that Westbrook and durant can’t coexist and how he is too ball dominant and how isn’t a true point guard.. If Westbrook and Derrick rose trade places last year I’m willing to bet Westbrook wind MVP and we would be saying all these things about rose. Not only are their styles of play similar but so are the stats. Rose scored more but shot more and Westbrook had a little more assists. Wall is great and I know Westbrook has struggled going back to the playoffs but I would take westbrook hands down. IMO its like comparing wall to rose and how many people would honestly take wall right now over the reigning MVP?

0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/29/2011 - 5:48pm #619517
IndianaBasketballParticipantHe’s made some big plays down the stretch, but let’s not act like he doesn’t have 7 turnovers to only 4 assists…
And before the last few plays, he was having another bum game. He’s undisciplined or loose cannon like…
