     Just torched the Lakers.

He’s gotta be making his case for best PG in the League this year, especially with the time that’s Derrick Rose has missed due to injuries.

    36pts, 6ast, 1TO

And that’s coming after he lit up Portland for 32pts,8ast,2TO’s 3 nights ago.

He’s just such a tough cover for even the best PG’s in the league. There are only 2 PG’s that can match his athleticism and maybe one that can match his explosiveness.

Steve Nash is still the best when it comes to running a offense…

Westbrook was on fire, but he just ignored all of his teammates, Durant was open on numerous occasions and Westbrook just went for a tough shot (he did hit most of them though)

I think Westbrook should remember what a pass is, Durant has to be the primary scorer

I totally agree and saw what you saw. Durant and his teamates I can tell wanted the ball, but he made the shot instead of passing, so they were ok I’ll let it slide since you made it in.

If he didn’t it would be a whole different story. Also on a fastbreak Durant called for it and he should have passed since he was ahead but took it and made it in, afterwards Westbrook told Durant saying I saw you but I had the shot.

Westbrook could be the best PG in the league if he looked to set up his teamates more and shoot less. I know this has be said many many times but i truly feel he has as much talent as any PG in this league. He actually is a pretty good passer when he looks to pass but he knows he can take over a game scoring and he tries to do that too much. Whenyou have a player like Durant on your team often times getting him the ball in a good spot produces better results than jacking up a shot…once Westbrook realizes this he will be in the convo for best pg in the league.

I’ve never liked the Westbrook hate, but he isn’t better than Paul or Rose.  Can we, perhaps just maybe, agree it’s a coach’s league based on looking at these 3?  Paul, with a terrible coach, has seemed less effective.  Rose missed time, but has been excellent, and since he has an awesome coach, he looks less impressive as they win without him.  Westbrook, with the same coach as always, thus looks better as the control, being in the same situation and improving within it.

And poor Deron.  Next year with Dallas he’ll be back in the arguement.

D Rose and D Will are the best Pg’s in the league

The ground that Westbrook covers and speed at which he does it is unbelievable.

When he’s making that mid-range shot off of the pick and roll, he’s too tough. Kobe used to be able to defend him Rondo-ish, but not anymore.

Sessions had nightmares last night… "I’ve got to face THIS guy in the playoffs possibly?"

He’s not a point guard. He’s a scoring guard who happens to bring the ball up the floor. He’s one of the elite scorers in the league (Top 5, even, I believe), but he’s not a point guard.

Westbrook was certainly the difference maker, the Lakers kept the rest of the team to 66 points with KD and Harden only getting 30 combined. With the Thunder’s solid defence, you have to try and shut down their 3 main scorers as much as you can to give them a game. The Lakers outmatch them in the frontcourt but to shut down the Thunder’s backcourt scoring and bench they struggled.

The Thunder’s extra bench depth really told as all the Lakers’ starters bar MWP were in a positive +/- rating. The Thunder’s success is really a team effort although the scoring is lead by KD and Westbrook supported by Harden.

If the Thunder did move Westbrook to SG on occasion and they signed a pass first veteran PG then I agree that could add another whole new dynamic to the team.

Westbrook does need to be aware of KD when he is in his scoring zone as fair enough he considers himself a major option but he cannot forget the team leader and main option.
