KHAM83ParticipantIn addition to the potential Cousins trade, Sacramento has been rumored to be shopping Gay. Miami has been looking to offload Chalmers 4m and Anderson 5m 1 year contracts to free up money for Wade and Dragic. If the Cousins deal goes through and they’re able to rid themselves of Landry’s 2yr/6m per deal, they’ll have cap space. However, no one is looking to sign in Sacramento.
Sac gets
Deng 1yr 10m
Chalmers 1yr 4m
Anderson 1yr 5m
Miami’s #10 pick
Miami gets
Gay 12m next season
With this deal, Sacramento unloads Gay and adds another lotto pick.
Miami saves about 10 million in salary, including 3m from the #10 pick cap hold, and adds a very good player in Gay. Now you can afford both Dragic and Wade, and look attractive to them.

SportsNinjaParticipantThis would be a good way for the Kings to start all over. All that money coming off the books. . .
However, if you make the Cousins’ trade, do you want a 2,6 & 10 in the same draft? It’s not like this team has a track record of developing talent. Would that be too much youth to develop?
I’m not opposed to it, I think they should start from scratch, but it is something to consider.

King CaluchaParticipantGay has been OK in Sacramento. I don’t think the Kings really NEED to get rid of his contract unless they get a pick in return. Karl doesn’t develop rookies. Not going to happen IMO.
