bflaa2ParticipantThink a trade could go down like this…..
Memphis Gets:
Jordan Hill(4th Pick)
Donte Green
Future 1st(Doubtful) or Second Round pickSacromento Gets:
Ricky Rubio
Salary Dump like Darko or Marko JaricSacromento Gets Rubio. Memphis Drafts and trades the best player on the board at the time(Rubio). Memphis trade last yera a top 5 pick…think they will do it again?

buntykingsfanParticipantthat would be pretty good but, i don’t think the kings will give up next year’s 1st round pick, maybe this year’s 23 or 31 pick

BriguyParticipantI don’t see this as possible for salary matching reasons. Could only really work with picks

d-grizzlyParticipantthis don’t look too good at all. but maybe if we changed
things a little, it might look better. NO DONTE GREEN!!
If you want to dump somebody, please dump GARCIA!!
he’s the best hustler on sac and plays some pretty good defensememphis should get,
your #4 ( jordan hill ),
and garcia ( 5 year contract, 5mill + a year)
possible first rounder for 2010sacramento should get,
memphis 2nd pick (rubio)
Darko’s expiring contract (7 mill) and the kings will actually use him..if you think about this, sac gets an expiring big man off the bench and their (star) point guard. The kings also get some cap relief losing someone like garcia, but give up defense, 3’s and some pretty plays.
memphis gets jordan hill, many steps down from blake griffin, but hill could turn out to be pretty good as well. Memphis also gets a longer contract with garcia, but i think garcia would be a good role player for the grizz.
Sac – rubio, martin, nocioni, thompson, hawes
Mem- conely, mayo, gay, hill, gasol – garcia 6th man of the year 2010!!!

bflaa2ParticipantYa thats legit I was trading Donte cause I think he has alot of potential! Im a fan of his!

QHaynes123noooo way….sacramento has all the leverage in the deal….
Why give up another 1st rounder???
if i was scaramento…i wouldnt give up nothing else…just the player they take with the 4th overall pick
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/28/2009 - 9:42am #153811
d-grizzlyParticipanteven if sac wanted, they could throw in kennys contract. mem has the sapce
Sac never uses him anyway, and if i remember, kenny’s expiring right?I think that would seal the deal to get sacs first rounder next year, takin thomas
and garcias contracts.conely, mayo, gay, hill, gasol – garcia, RESIGN WARRICK, arthur, thomas, haddadi, and whatever mem takes for 27th and thier 2nd rounder….and ya… that guy jaric..unfortunately.

d-grizzlyParticipantuh no, if sac’s attendance doesn’t go up, they might move. if rubio doesn’t end up in sac, you could very likely have another unsatisfied season. if you can’t give up a future 1st round pick, mem could trade elsewhere and get more.

BriguyParticipantKings don’t need to make any salary dumps, They are at least 3 million under the cap and KThomas contract is up after 09. That contract is 09 season trade bait and or 2010 cash to pick up a free agent.
Green is a proven talent even though he got wasted on the bench under Kenny Nat. I wouldn’t mind him and the 4 for Rubio… I am sure the Grizz would want more and you couldn’t blame them, lets just be realistic and do some homework.
The Kings didn’t make money this past season and probably had a little loss due to slumping attendance, They are not going bankrupt, Kings have until this past season always sold out the arena …
One year of bad sales doesn’t mean its time to give away future 1st rounders like they did in years past.

d-grizzlyParticipantlisten, kings had worst attendence last year. maloofs want a new arena and won’t shell out the cash. if the kings don’t get the attendence up, which they could with RUBIO, you could very well be seeing the kings play elsewhere after the 09-10 season.

QHaynes123What if Rubio is a bust?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/28/2009 - 11:59am #153871
d-grizzlyParticipantThen that will suck for the kings. and it will prove that they tried to please the fans, which alotta ” fans ” of the kings have been so whiney about the maloofs not appreciating them. don’t blame em’, if the grizz draft thabeet, i may just convert to sir wade and the heat. I’ve been a fan of the grizzlies since the vancouver days, and i’m not pleased but i still show support, but if they honestly don’t draft rubio and trade him for some talent, how could i support them?

QHaynes123Ok…i just dont believe that good players Alawys equal attendace. OF COURSE THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS (LEBRON,KOBE,D-WADE ETC…)
i mean…this team is so young. I say try to acquire Ramon Sessions and look at Marion. If that doesnt work then maybe look at a trade.

d-grizzlyParticipantniiicccce.
sessions, martin, marion, thompson, hawes. with garcia, beno, nocioni and more.
now stealing sessions might be a reach. i think milw will keep him and drop vill.
marion coming to the kings is a possibility, but will they be able to afford a contract like his?i’d safely say that lineup could make 8th or better. Those bigs in sac got a future, let’s hope kevin takes it to the next level though.

QHaynes123i feel you but all sessions needs is some love man. He was a 2nd round pick, making NBA minimum,
If i was Sacramento, I would call him and tell him we want you as our STARTING PG
telling him that and throwin about 4-6 mil per yer his way
you have a new PG

auberParticipantI’ve pretty much been saying this for the last 2 weeks now bflaa.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/28/2009 - 1:17pm #153883
d-grizzlyParticipantbut he may want to stay in milw. and it still depends on what milw does, they could match sacs offer and sac would be screwed if they planned to get sessions for pg. but i hear you man, sessions would be a bada$$ playmaker for the kings.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/28/2009 - 1:22pm #153889
QHaynes123They dont have to worry about that..he is a unrestricted FA
That means he could leave before they match the deal..
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/28/2009 - 1:26pm #153894
d-grizzlyParticipantdang, if he is, nice. i coulda swore he was restricted, i’ll check.

QHaynes123http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=FreeAgents-09-10
my bad…he is
man..i could have sworn he wasnt
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/28/2009 - 1:32pm #153898
d-grizzlyParticipantwell, i think the kings should get a pg in the draft for sure. i honestly think the bucks will keep sessions and drop vill. but i could be wrong, sessions could for sure change sac around with a real point guard directing the offense…that is if they get a good coach too. can’t see sessions perfectin an offense from k natt. maybe that was the problem with beno even with theus.
