We finally have our first sighting of Royce White hitting the road in an RV. He’s got a short 34 hour road trip with multiple drivers to get him to Santa Cruz. It wasn’t so long ago that Royce said it wasn’t about flying but after just a few games in the D league which has a much lighter schedule, he’s already putting his team in jeopardy by taking 30 hours longer to reach the same destination.

I have a hard time imagining how he’s going to be fresh for a basketball game and since he’s already out of shape and playing poorly I have a feeling that he’ll have another poor game. I’ll stop busting his chops when he doesn’t seem so selfish.

How’s he being selfish? I’m not sure you understand how anxiety disorders work. And, when Royce said that it wasn’t about flying he wasn’t saying that his anxiety had magically disappeared. He meant that his absence from the team wasn’t due to flight issues because those arrangements were already in place with the Rockets. So, you just misinterpreted what he was saying I think.

How does he workout on that bus? Seems to me the rest of the team will arrive at their destination and have a chance to either get a practice in or atleast get some weight training done.

Maybe sports are not for him. The nba will never draft a player with his condition again because of all baggage that comes with it. When his contract is up, no team will sign him. I feel for his condition but pro sports are not therapeutical, rehabilitation clinics, or counseling clinics and nor should they be. He needs a job with less demand and travel.

I may not be an anxiety expert, but a guy who you couldn’t even get to play or report to the team for half the year, and now demands an RV is becoming not worth it.

Thanks for trying to determine how I have misunderstood what he said but I have a pretty good idea what a team sport basketball is and how he has separated himself from the rest of the players. I don’t care how anxiety disorders work and none of his teammates care because they are all trying to get a chance to play in the NBA.

He is selfish because he didn’t keep himself in shape to play a team game and I think you don’t know what being part of a team is. If he really wants to make a difference for people with mental disorders then he should focus on that.
