valentineNet rating is a decent, if imprecise way to measure player impact. It’s how many points the player’s team scores per 100 possessions minus points allowed per 100. I sorted for minimum 3 games and 10 minutes per game.
1) Justise Winslow MIA
Raul Neto UTA
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson BKN
Jerian Grant NYK
5) Richaun Holmes PHI
Willie Cauley-Stein SAC
Lamar Patterson ATL
Frank Kaminsky CHA
Mario Hezonja ORL
10) Kristaps Porzingis NYK
Karl-Anthony Towns MIN
Nemanja Bjelica MIN
Nikola Jokic DEN
TJ McConnell PHI
15) Emmanuel Mudiay DEN
Stanley Johnson DET
Marcelo Huertas LAL
Myles Turner IND
Rashad Vaughn MIL
20) D’Angelo Russell LAL
Jahlil Okafor PHI
Montrezl Harrell HOU

T RexI always thought RHJ was just about the same as Winslow. Brooklyn finally moved him into the starting lineup last night, so their winless streak might not last forever. Like Winslow, RHJ is a great glue guy who impacts winning without much flash.
Grant has been putting up positive +/- from the first game of the season. He should be starting over Calderon, and probably will be pretty soon.
RHJ and Rashaun Holmes and TJ McConnell really stand out as guy playing on terrible teams but still playing good team basketball.

BlueLacesParticipantYou’ve bashed Justise Winslow ever since the draft and now all the sudden you consider him a great glue guy that impacts winning?

T RexHe’s no star, and not much better than RHJ, if any, and RHJ was picked in the 20s.
Winslow was touted you guys as clearly better than Porzingis, and that was a crock of silly puddy.
You don’t draft a backup shooting guard at #2, and you don’t draft a glue guy in the top 6, where Winslow was universally ranked, unless that glue guy is a Noel type PF/C.

Robb_CParticipantNobody said Winslow was better than Porzingis,.. Certainly the Knicks thought otherwise and so did every nba team.. Just because the media ranks a guy 6th doesnt make it true.. The general media doesmt know sh**.. Winslow is one of the safest picks in the draft.. You know exactly what your getting with him.
