Rodrigue Beaubois
If he had a good showing in London this summer I would say most likely but he is not in the squad (apparently the Mavs "asked" him not to as he is coming back from injury).
He is a very good player with great tools and potential but so are lots of players who take an age to break out. Before I say it would be this year I would like to see the same player that could drop 30+ on a night like in the video.
I'd never seen that clip before, I'm in shock over how quick his legs moved on that coast to coast, he was a blur! No wonder he hurt his foot.
I've heard it said that he simply isn't the same player since he went down with injury, but Roddy, Mayo and Collison could make an imposing backcourt rotation, and Beaubois has the best chance of being a star of those three IMO.
If he can spend more time creating for others and running the offense then I can see him being a big part of their team, with that shooting range and quickness he should be a nightmare in the pick and roll with Dirk; a better version of the Barea-Dirk p'n'r from the 2011 season.
IDK, I mean I thought by now he'd have a niche, and 2 years from now he'd be a main piece to a good team. His injury set him back obviously, everyone says he isn't the same, he had the speed, quickness, crazy wingspan, scoring ability and everything to be a very good player.
Him and Jerryd Bayless need to both find a niche quick.
No doubt in my mind he'll be a qualtiy starting PG someday. There was actually a stint last year when Kidd was hurt that Roddy was starting AND putting up effecient numbers. He just needs to get his mind right and find the right team.

Does anybody other than me still see possible big things for him?
He's always had huge potential and a good skills set, and could this year be the year he breaks out?
I know they just picked up Mayo but something still tells me Beaubois could still be a huge part of the Mavs this year..
I know you guys remember this.
