wrectorParticipantRookies: Michael Carter-Williams, Trey Burke, Pero Antic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Steven Adams, Tim Hardaway Jr, Victor Oladipo, Kelly Olynyk, and Mason Plumlee.
Sophomores: Anthony Davis, Brad Beal, Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, Terrence Jones, Damian Lillard, Jared Sullinger, Jonas Valanciunas, and Dion Waiters.
Snubs? Surprises?

wrectorParticipantI think John Henson deserved a spot. He’s been playing really well this season.

qDizzle32ParticipantI would have put McLemore, KCP or Tony Snell on there before Pero Antic. The rooks already have enough Big Men. Of course there were going to be a lot of snubs for the Sophomores. Terrence Ross would be my biggest snub of all players.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantTerrence Ross isn’t exactly outplaying anybody that made it on the sophomore team, really.
If it wasn’t for that 51 point blow-up, there would have been nothing special about his season.

joecheck88ParticipantMaybe expectations played a part in it. Think KCP and McLemore have been disappointing. Smell has been solid but Antic has played very well. Not saying I disagree with you but Antic has been playing well and can stretch the floor as a big for whichever team. And kind of cool to see more of an unknown in the game though McLemore’s dunks would’ve been nice as well. Haha

frogmanParticipantYeh its funny how Pero Antic is in a rising stars game when someone like Amare Stoudemire who has played 11 seasons in the league and is now at the end of his career is actually younger than him haha

PlatypusParticipantPero Antic has to be the oldest player to compete in this.

qDizzle32ParticipantIf this game were to be the Top 20 rookies and sophomores rather than the Top 10 of each, the only rooks who would make it would be MCW, Oladipo and Burke.

XYRYXParticipantOlynyk in is a surprise to me. I was really high on him and thought he would show his offensive efficiency but is one if the biggest disappointments to me.

DolanCareParticipantWhether it’s Miles Plumlee or John Henson…. get Dion Waiters off of that sophmore team. I’m so sick of people overhyping him. He’s a talented player who could be a great 2 guard. But he has too many 4-15 shooting performances for my liking.

Forte IVParticipantTony Wroten deserved to be in the game imo. But honestly, why only 18 total players? That’s 9 per team. Why not 24 guys?

torukParticipantThis years rising stars challenge have a great sophomore team agains the weakest rookie team i ever seen. I expect a loopside victory for the sophomores. The rookie team has very little 3 point shooting.

Lafferty DanielParticipantAnthony Bennett had a career high 15 points with 8 boards, a block, and two 3’s yesterday.
Bennett must have heard Waiters mention that they were announcing the players for the Rising Stars Challenge today. Anthony tried to cram and put up some decent numbers last night, but it was too little, too late. It’s a shame since Canadians rarely procrastinate.

B-ball fanParticipantHarrison Barnes shouldn’t have made it. Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten are both more deserving. I get that the big men for the sophomores are really good, so there would be good big men left, but Barnes still didn’t deserve it. I guess Tony Wroten’s injury issues probably led to him getting left off.

Skeating12345ParticipantTony Wroten. I think he has surprised a lot of people and he is starting to become the player a lot of people thought he could be. I think he is a future starting PG in the league. Dissappointed to see that he didnt make it.

ncballerI may get negged for this…where is Kendall Marshall?
0- Posted on: Thu, 01/30/2014 - 4:56am #866700
JoeWolf1You shouldn’t get negged. As of Jan 30th 2014, Kendall Marshall has qualified and leads the NBA in 3 point percentage at .473% and although he hasn’t qualified for assists yet, if he had he’d be sitting 2nd in the NBA.
So many people called this guy garbage, and he’s producing at a level that shits him in the top 3 in the NBA in two major statistical categories as a 2nd year player.
