ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI know this is a bit of a bummer to post on a NBA forum but I just want to say that my heart goes out to the family and friends of this young man.
It’s appalling how the justice system and the police have handled the situation so far. Killing a child (black, white, brown, asian it does not matter) is one of the most egregious acts I can think of and whoever does that does not deserve freedom. Hopefully justice will be done.
End of rant.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI live in Orlando and Sanford is only a few miles from us…The entire community is hurt by this..There have been marches ,meetings in churchs, protests in our city,Sanford, other parts of Florida and tonite in New York..And a huge march is planned for 2morrow with the Reverend Al Sharpton, several members of congress and alot of celebrities planning to attend it…
They need to fire that Sheriff Bill Lee, becuz he really botched up this entire investigation..And they even bother to ask any of the neighbors who this kid was?
This guy Zimmerman had mental issues and wanted to be a cop,but failed the test several times after they found out about his background,he had attacked a policeman, beat up his girlfriend and been arrested 3 other times..And for this Sheriff to take his word of killing someone self-defense without talking to witnesses is outragous..
But Florida has a silly gun law, called Stand your Ground,It means you have a right to protect yourself if you feel like someone is about to attack you..But the 911 calls clearly show that Zimmerman was the the aggressive one…Following this kid becuz he was black ,then to ask him what he was doing there ? Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend..She said she could hear her friend being pushed and his headset hitting the ground…

oelzoosaooParticipantTo start with, the front court is going to be pretty impressive. Chris Kaman and Elton Brand played together as members of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Kaman has played with Dirk Nowitzki on the German national team, as well.

oelzoosaooParticipantI’m settled in and I feel comfortable with the coaches and everybody around me. We have a great staff here and I’m really happy to be here at this point. … Since 2008 I played with Dirk on the German national team even though I’m not very German. I think I have some ancestors somewhere down the line. I’ve been very comfortable during the offseason and the summer participating with him at the different events. I knew from conversations with him the kind of guy Mark was and Coach Carlisle that this would be a great place to play.”rwer2121

oelzoosaooParticipantMavs owner Mark Cuban later joked that for the first time in years he didn’t cringe when he watched his team’s starting center shooting jumpers on the practice court. Kaman’s ability to do a number of things with the basketball will certainly make the Mavs harder to defend.fsadsa

oelzoosaooParticipant“I’m not trying to replace Jason Kidd,” said Collison. “That’s tough to do. I thought he was a great player for this organization, but I just plan to be myself. I was brought here for a reason. Some of the things that I want to bring are an up-tempo style, energy, defense, and whatever I can do to help out these guys. I’m just excited to be here.”dsfs

ZYHEHEWAParticipantIf You Build It…: Seattle native Chris Hansen has won… or at least it’s enough of a victory to call it a win. Seattle’s City Council voted yesterday to approve construction of a new $490 million sports arena. The City Council will pony up $200 million of the cost, which will be fully guaranteed by Hansen and his partners.

baozaokeParticipantOne of the biggest issues facing the team this season is what to do with Tyreke Evans, whose inability to consistently hit the three has been of such concern that he’s been on and off of the trading block. Smart still believes in Evans, and thinks he still has the ability to expand his game to the arch.[89-0[890979

baozaokeParticipant“As we’re speaking, I’m getting ready to put together a tape from where we were last year, and how he performed defensively, to what he’s done in training camp,” Smart said. “The guy has shown that he wants to commit to that side of the ball. He came in camp in great shape, did a great job in everything we were doing and wants to take the next step. He’s got to be consistent in his play every night. I said to him that he should be an all-defensive player.sdfaer3223

baozaokeParticipant“What I’ve tried to do, one, from talking to them all throughout training camp, is I’m looking for our team to develop, for our team to have the right kind of chemistry, which is going to help us win,” Smart said. “I used different lineups in camp. I said the goal for us is for our team to succeed more so than any of you individuals. We have to buy into that if we’re going to win, and you guys communicated to me that you want to win, it’s going to take an abundance of sacrifices for our team to have a great, winning season. You guys have to make a decision that that’s the way we’re going and you can handle it. If not, you know where my office is. You can come talk to me and say, ‘Hey Coach, I can’t handle this. Can you and Geoff do something to change my address?’”oi6865785785

baozaokeParticipantUp Close With Andre Iguodala: The Denver Nuggets are widely regarded as the scariest dark horse in the Western Conference. They may just be on the outside looking in on the true contender class that consists of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers, but those teams know that the Nuggets won’t be an easy out. HOOPSWORLD recently caught up with the Nuggets’ newest addition Andre Iguodala. Iguodala’s arrival is one of the main reasons optimism is so high in Denver. We talked to him about his conditioning after a long summer both mentally and physically, how he’s transitioning to being a Nugget and more in this exclusive video interview.p;879p798

baozaokeParticipant“I’m still in Texas, so that’s cool,” Curry told HOOPSWORLD. “It’s a great organization and I’m extremely appreciative for this opportunity that Coach [Rick] Carlisle gave me, that Mark Cuban gave me, Donnie [Nelson] and everybody from top to bottom. It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m just extremely appreciative.”vsfdser

baozaokeParticipant“I thought he did OK,” Carlisle said. “He’s a really good offensive player around the basket. Defensively, there are some things we have to work with him on. In the pick-and-roll defense, he tends to stay back and zone up and our coverage is more aggressive. It’s a mindset; just something he’s got to get use to, but he did some good things.”’pi;piop

baozaokeParticipant“I’m speechless,” Green said. “Every day I think about it, where I’ve come from. Last year at this time I was in China, I was working on my deal and getting ready to go to China, and that team ended up cutting me. It’s just crazy man. Every time I think about it, it’s just like, ‘Whoa.’ I did a complete 360 being there. It was like I turned around and I was different. Every time I talk about it, it’s crazy. I just never envisioned myself here, never.fafd33223

gsoenvaoParticipantFortunately for Green’s shooting percentage, this Celtics team isn’t reliant on players forcing things on offense. Practically every player on this team outside of Rajon Rondo and Darko Milicic plays two or more positions. That means sometimes the Celtics will have a size advantage, sometimes they’ll have a speed advantage, but they always have to be cognizant of who they’re matched up with.T323223

gsoenvaoParticipant“Just being here with an Indiana Pacers jersey, it’s unbelievable,” Green said. “This is a really good fit for me; everybody is still young, we’re a playoff team, and I couldn’t be in a better place. Indiana is the home state of basketball and this organization is trying to change its image.]980[0-89
