    How good is he?

He averaged 6.5 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game. He doesn’t seem to have a lot of range and I think he will have a hard time adapting to the speed of the NBA. He is considered to be Jose Calderon or Steve Nash.

"Jennings is already measuring up to Europe’s best," says Serb Filip Covic, who has also faced 18-year-old Spanish sensation Ricky Rubio: "Ricky’s a great player, but Brandon is better."

I think Rubio is a little overhyped. Sure he is only 20, but I feel he may only serve as a solid player. I don’t have high expectations for him even if he went #5 overall. I’d like to be proven wrong, but I just don’t see his game translating to the NBA.

He struggles greatly in the Euro leagues, but to his credit, the Euro leagues are more physical than the NBA in terms of physical contact. He has a chance to have success in the league but I dont think he will be great. He will be a top assist man and maybe amongst the top in steals. But he will struggle to score and defend. Yet he is still young, maybe he will find his way, but the transition will be tough.

i think hes already proven he can play against nba talent, which serves him well coming into the nba. stats in europe don’t matter too much, its all about coming in and being productive. rajon rondo can’t shoot a free throw to save his life. i think rubios got that covered already. he’ll definitely have to get better but being just 20 I think he’ll do that. not saying hes going to be a star, but i think he’ll be a starting pg in the nba. and brandon jennings is an awesome scorer. completely different type of player than rubio. not sure brandon jennings knows what the word pass means.

I’m pretty positive he’ll be an upgrade of ridnour… people are almost too obsessed with the new fangled score first pg’s of d rose and russell westbrook  and brandon jennings… the mavs just won the championship with the ultimate passing pg almost ever in the history of the league in the janitor!!… not saying rubio will ever be as good at passing as kidd but he’ll be dang solid.. thinking 8-12ppg 4rpg 6-8apg 2spg as a rookie… i’ll take that any day..

I hope I’m sensing sarcasm b/c if you referring to Jason Kidd as "The Janitor" I think you are seriously mistaken.

Ricky Rubio is legit.  His stats will be 8-10 ppg, 8-10 assists/game, 2.5 steals/game.  He’ll bring excitement and winning attitude to the wolves.  He’s won everywhere he’s been.  He’ll win ROY.  Just stand back and enjoy!

Rubio will take some time but his game is much more suited to the NBA. My only worry is that Minny tries to put the shackles on him by not letting him get out on the break and run. When I think of what he coud accomplish with a team like PHX or NY, I must drool. Just look at the progress Jose Calderon made between seasons one and two nd he’s got nowhere near the same type of quickness, creativity, or vison or Ricky. It may take some time, but I fuly expect him to get it figured out.

Will Rubio do well in the triangle offense? I’m not sure. But he will certainly do well receiving those K Love outlet passes. He supposedly defends well and he will have a height advantage over most of the other PGs in the league.

The wolves need to scrap their attempted triangle offence immediately.

it doesnt suit any of their players.

Rondo without the length and athleticism.

Rubio is athletic and long.  Why would you think otherwise?  Because he’s white?

Rubio is long, but not sure if he matches Rondo’s athleticism, which is impressive (saw that dunk on Bosh again the other day, wow), but I’d certainly say he’s more Rondo than Nash, who is an excellent shooter.

     Rubio 6’4 maybe 6’5 and has a 6’9 wingspan

    Rondo 6’1 with a 6’9 wingspan

and your saying Rondo is long like Rubio isnt

The Timberwolves DO NOT run the triangle offense.

this kid is soo overrated i think he will be ok at best,a non shooting jose calderon, hes not athletic he cant shoot and he didnt prove anything to me against nba talent he had a few good plays thatst not proving anything and on them olympic teams he was the backup all the time the reason he was able to get torched by rose rondo and westbrook was because calderon got hurt, he has not progressed how people would’ve hoped for and you never know i might be wrong but imo minn sold themselves short for this dude a guy who will probably be a top 15 pg at best

He has been the starting PG for a championship winning Euro league team for two years. So I don’t think there is any chance he is a bust even if he can’t score at all. He is going to be interesting to watch.
