Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantI don’t know much about him, but I read some of the post about him on this site, (someone even said he could be the shooting guard Kevin Durant) I also saw him going head to head, and doing great against John Wall. Today it came out that he can practice with the Friars this year but not play. So the questions are do you think he’ll go to the draft this year? and What is his ceiling as a player and how high will he be drafted pending on his school decision?

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantHe is going to the NBA after this year, to much talent and with the trouble haunting him, he will Bolt. He is very telented and i see him as a Paul George type

SiggyParticipantIf he’s one and done regardless then it’s pointless for him to stay at Providence. What trouble is haunting him anyway? He’s not a bad kid. He was just a basketball vagabond who went to a million different schools and his transcript was a mess because of that.
I don’t see the Paul George comparison either. Ricky’s a pure scorer but he can be a bit of a gunner.

JaeEvolutionParticipantAs opposed to KD, I see A LOT of Roy (pre-injury) in his game.
His J…just damn silky smooth. His handles are very good and can be used to create space at even NBA level, and he is a good athlete not elite, but good similar to Roy.
I think it’s about even on whether he stays or goes next year, but his hype will be limited I’m assuming, and whoever gets this guy even if it is in 2014 where the stars are really out, they got a good one.

providencefriars1ParticipantI was convinced he would be a one and done and that is what I heard from many people who knew Ledo pretty well. Now I think he will play in 13-14 at Providence but then leave for the league.

WizardofOzParticipantHe kinda reminds me of MarShon Brooks. He’s better than MarShon, but he does have some similarities which aren’t necessarily a good thing. Offensively he’s probably the best SG in his class, but he has MarShoot like shot selection and his penchant for playing with blinders on. He’s not exactly the smartest player on the court either.
I think he would’ve tried taking advantage of the weak 2013 draft class and declare, but I’m not sure what he does now.

moochieeParticipantI see him coming out with tons of hype after this year, I don’t think him sitting out will hurt his stock at all (although it does really suck)…let the legend grow

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantHe’s not going to bolt after this year. Even if he has good workouts and a good combine because teams will still have doubts about him seeing he hasn’t played a game in college as good workouts don’t mean success at the next level

theballerwayParticipantHes outta there . theres nooooo way in hell he stays – imo. Why would you? Its providence too. teams will come to pracice n observe him.
fully agree with the Brandon Roy comparison in terms of game .

AZcats09ParticipantLedo’s game looks a lot like MarShon’s so far, from what I have seen. Definitely a lot of offensive potential there, but I think it’s gonna take him a while to become a real NBA player.
Also, I don’t think sitting out will effect his draft stock one bit….it might even help him. Enes Kanter sat the whole year for Kentucky and still went 3rd overall. Sitting out helps a lot of guys beause they never have a chance to show scouts their shortcomings. Just look at Dion Waiters who parlayed playing 24 minutes per game with ZERO draft workouts into being selected 4th overall. I hate it, but thats the way it is now.

SiggyParticipantHe’s barely top 15 in a weak HS class. He’s also old for his class, isn’t a phenomenal athlete, is physically underdeveloped and has questionmarks about his ability to make others around him better. He’s hardly a can’t miss prospect. I think if he declares after this yr he’s a mid to late 20s pick and I think I’m being generous since I hardly see his name in mocks. If that’s ok for Ricky, then more power to him, but that’s a poor way to get his foot in the door. He’s not exactly maximizing his stock.
What I don’t understand is if he’s a one and done regardless, then why is he gonna stay at Providence? IMO, he should be looking to catch on overseas so he can work on his game full time against better competition, while getting game action and getting paid to do so. If his sights are set on getting to the league ASAP, regardless of his standing, he should leave school now.
