So according to this story, trade rumors for Kyrie were picking up steam before the draft (specifically, Eric Bledsoe and the #4 pick for Kyrie, and later flipping that pick for Paul George). Kyrie, it seems, thought LeBron had signed off on the idea and wanted him gone, and that was the "final straw." LeBron, however, never explicitly said he wanted Kyrie gone: he was just open to adding pieces.

If you believe the story as reported, this is all just a big misunderstanding, and Kyrie is likely staying put.

That said, do you all actually believe this? I want to, but my gut is saying there’s still some missing info. If it is true, does that necessarily means Kyrie stays? Things might be awkward in the locker room if he does.

I can’t see Kyrie gone. I don’t know why he would want to leave. And there is No way they will get back anything in equal value to play alongside LeBron in their "Prime" w/o Sacrificing Lebrons ability to win.

LeBron and Kyrie can still get it done. Kyrie just needs to Go Full-blown Kobe mode. He is playing along with the Most Dominate Facilatator/Athlete on the Wing the game has ever Seen and need to capitalize on that. It won’t get any easier than having Bron on your team.

I can most definitely see Kyrie getting butt hurt about hearing his name being in trade talks for PG13 or Jimmy Buckets. Him automatically thinking LeBron had sum 2 do with it b/c all the power he posseses. Sounds believable

That story makes the most sense to me.  Kyrie never actually wanted to play with LeBron. It was just a perfect situation for him and he had never experienced winning in the NBA before.  It took no more than 1 rumor to get out that suggested LeBron was okay with the team trading Kyrie, and Kyrie immediately tried to burn the bridge and force a way out. If this wasn’t true, I think LeBron would’ve made sure the two spoke to each other, but it’s the truth so LeBron has nothing to say.  He can only be mad that Kyrie hurt his image/brand now as he tries to fake his happiness via awkard and shady social media posts.

P.S. Cleveland is competing with the Knicks for worst-run franchise in the NBA. Only difference is that King James was born in Akron and wanted to play for the Cavs

This is called "saving face". Kyrie’s wish to be traded got out, then it became the biggest story of the summer. Now he’s putting out the fire as much as he can. It’s a good move to say this even if it’s not true.

^^^^ What DolanCare said. The Cavs said we aren’t trading you and now some fake story comes out trying to act like Kyrie is the victim. I doubt its true but never know.
