Flameres15ParticipantThe Pacers have a long season ahead and with a quick retooling of their roster, they could come back better. The Pacers also have some talented shooters they could give up in return. A possible Reggie Jackson for Rodney Stuckey and/or CJ Miles swap could save the Thunder money in the longrun, and add a few veterans. On the other hand, the Pacers could get their point guard of the future.

Flameres15ParticipantThe other team I see as a fit is the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs are weak at the point, and a young Jackson could be a fit. The Mavs could offer Jameer Nelson straight up for Jackaon. Nelson is a good fit for a young Thunder team.

ProudGrandpaParticipantTrade Stuckey AND Miles? The Pacers just lost Lance Stephenson and Paul George. Now is not the time to go dumping all their depth at the wings. If this trade went through, they’d be starting Damjan Rudez and an undersized George Hill at the wings and that would be a disaster.

BiggysmallsParticipantWhy wouldn’t the Magic offer Nelson for Jackson if he were that available? He’d have been a perfect fit for them next to Dipo.
I think you guys are sleeping on Jackson. He’s a really good 6th man and could be a decent starter and I doubt OKC lets him go for anything less then good draft picks and/or a solid young piece. My guess is they get a little less then what they got for Harden.

MaejorParticipantI feel Reggie is worth much more than Rodney stuckey or jameer Nelson. He’s played very well with the thunder. I would honestly take Reggie over a lot or starting point guards in the nba. Okc should be able to get more than those players if they are looking to trade him.

festar35ParticipantIf we went after Jackson it would start with Indiana offering up Hibbert or West in order to get some youth and point and taking Perkins back as an expiring contract. OKC would potentially be asked for a pick as well. OKC wants to win now and West would probably be the guy that would fit in nicely.

XYRYXParticipantAs a Thunder fan I would really hate to see Reggie go especially since Thabo is gone there are 25 minutes in the backcourt to spend. Reggie will get 15/5/5 playing 28 – 32 minutes on any team in the league especially on a Pacers team.
In short, I don’t want to see Reggie leave and highly doubt Presti would pull of a trade involving Reggie but honestly, West heading to OKC for Reggie and Perk could really help the Thunder big time. The Thunder failed to add veteran leadership for years now and West is very similar to Perk when we talk about leadership and competetiveness.
Hibbert to the Thunder wouldn’t be a good move imo cause Adams and Mitch are more than decent young big men for them and I absolutely don’t see the Thunder adding a contract in the league of Hibbert.

kerrstParticipantA deal of Hibbert and Stuckey for Reggie, Lamb and Perkins would help both teams

BiggysmallsParticipantYes Nelson is with the Mavs now, the Magic released him basically if I recall…if they could’ve gotten Jackson for him, I assume they would’ve explored that option. I thought they should’ve tried dealing Afflalo for Jackson that would’ve helped both teams imo.

Big_C_KUParticipantHonestly there is no reason for the Thunder to trade Jackson unless someone approaches them with a stud player or a very high draft pick to offer. Thunder aren’t one of those cusp teams trading a good player because they might lose him for nothing. They are a championship caliber team and they have to keep their best pieces intact all season, even if it includes losing them for nothing at the end of the season. Keep Jackson. Win now and win as much as you can this year. Then at the end of the season you offer him a 1 yr qualifying offer. Hope that he accepts. If he does sign with another team they will have to have overpaid for him and you can then approach that team then about a sign-n-trade. Maybe get a young player or draft pick back in the S&T.
