festar35ParticipantHe doesn’t suck, it is just the fact that he is a back-up PG. Thinking he would come in and even get close to Westbrook type production is insane. Westbrook’s value is finally being realized with his absence from the Thunder.

SubZeroParticipantAre you serious? 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and no turnovers on 7-15 shooting sucks? The only bad thing he did tonight was his 1-5 from 3 but the one he hit was at a critical time. He was one of our better players tonight

AmiableBaller34ParticipantUnfortunately I didn’t get to watch the game tonight, but I think Reggie has done a great job coming in on short notice. He averaged about 13.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 3.5 apg this playoffs as a guy who’s only averaging 13.0 mpg for their entire career. Reggie might not be a superstar, but he has shown that he can be a decent rotation player in the NBA (which he is). He showed nice ability to run the floor, drive the lane, steal the ball, and on some occasions he looked pretty good running the offense (Even if he was timid, and deferred to Durant a lot). What more could the Thunder ask for from Westbrook’s backup?

KHAM83Participant@Festar35
Its not that people are now realizing Westbrook’s value, we all know he is very talented and that he makes this OKC team title contenders. The issue with Westbrook is that he’ll either help Durant win it all, or he’ll be the reason OKC doesn’t win. Hes extremely good, a bit erratic. Im wondering if sitting there watching the team get ousted will make him a better player or come out next year trying to prove something.0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/15/2013 - 7:15pm #775343

Memphis MadnessParticipantReggie Jackson played very well. He will make an excellent sixth man type guy when Westbrook gets back.
Or they can play both of them together in a small ball lineup.

TheLastWordParticipantThis is the first time Jackson has got serious burn in the NBA. Considering the stage, I am impressed. Made a few bone head plays, and can’t really hit the three, but will stick in this league.

omphalosParticipantI must admit, I don’t think he has a natural feel for the game that a PG should, he doesn’t have a good understanding of when to give up the ball and he doesn’t make easy shots for other players, I remember last game Kevin Martin his two consecutive shots, and he was open on the wing calling for the ball, but Reggie decided to just drive it and missed a lay-up, Martin was visibly upset about being ignored and then put up a bad shot the next time down.
Especially as a young player Reggie needs to know how to feed his vets.

AmiableBaller34ParticipantGood for Reggie. For real, this thread should have been about how bad and unimpressive Kevin Martin was instead. Because not only did he get out played by Reggie (Martin averaged a shallow 14-3-3 on 38% shooting), but he was never able to give OKC that push in the offense he was supposed to. Jackson is young, he’s going to make mistakes. Martin on the other hand has (had) to play better

hbomb3300ParticipantI would say he has been solid. Once he gets more confidence in his 3 he will be a really nice player off the bench. He has good size, great athlete, long arms, and knows how to finish around the rim. Reggie should of got more playing time during the season just to speed up his development.

TyroberParticipantI have been a semi Reggie Jackson hater for the season because I thought the Thunder needed more of a change of pace point guard instead of someone like Westbrook, but Jackson has done quite well. He obviously isn’t Westbrook and he might not ever be a starting point guard, but the guy is a solid player.
