In the land of college basketball you see some schools are on the rise in terms of recruitment and see schools on the downfall in recruitment. I’m going to list schools that’s either on the rise or are falling.

Florida State – They are on the rise. They solidified a great pipe line in the Georgia and Florida. They had landed Dwayne Bacon, Malik Beasley, Jonathan Isaac, and Trent Forrest. They are leaders in terms of 247Sports for Udoka Azubuike, Dewan Heull, and Brandon Robinson.

Syracuse – They are in the decline. I don’t see them anywhere as favorites or in contention for top players anymore, or in the tri state area. Look at the top NY talent this year and next, no one have them as a fovorite. You ca make an argument that this year and next have te most talent in years in the NY area. You have Rawle Alkin, Mustopha Heron, Trevon Duval, Ty Jerone, Shamoni Ponds, Mo  Bamba, Hamidou Diallo, and more not have Syracuse at the top of their list.

Alabama -They are on the rise. They have an NBA coach that have ties in the Texas area, Texas is a top 5 state in terms of basketball talent. Alabama have Terrance Ferguson and they are catching up and gaining momentum with Tony Bradley. They probably also gaining momentum in 2017 5 star gaurd in John Petty too.

Auburn – They are on the rise. I love what Auburn is doing. They are building something great down there and it happened so fast. They landed a 5  star gaurd that have drawn comparison to James Harden in Mustopha Heron. In the past three years they have landed 7’2" center Trayvon Reed (ESPN ranked 68), 6’9" forward foward Horance Spence (ESPN ranked 61) and 6’7" small foward Danjel Purifoy (ESPN ranked 66th).

North Carolina – I’m not saying they are on the decline, but they are not on fire on the recruitment scene, You seeing all the top North Carolina guys choose Duke or are favoring NC State. You usually see the top Carolina guys go to North Carolina. They typically lure the top one and done in the state, but now it’s Duke.

Michigan – Michigan is on a slow decline – You don’t see top Michigan guys go to Michigan or maybe not even in their top 5. In the last 5 years Michigan have struggled to get their top guys and only been able to get Derrick Walton. Michigan State have all the momentum between the two state schools. They got got Deyonta Davis and are heavily in the mix with Josh Jackson, Miles Bridges, and Cassius Winston.

Mayland – Maryland is on a fast rise. They landed 5 star center Diamond Stone last year and it looks like they are heavily in the mix for Josh Jackson, Trevon Duval, Markelle Fultz, and plenty more highly touted prospect. I didn’t believe they would have this much success, but the fact that they getting big time recruits and in consideration for a lot have Maryland fans opptimistic.

UCLA – I know they been getting recruits and all, but they are looking good in the recruiting scene this year and next. They got Lonzo Ball and Kobe Paras, and they looking like the favorites for T.J. Leaf. They also are the favorite for the number one point guard in California in 2017 in Jaylen Hands.

Wow, he’s going to Washington. I didn’t see that coming but Romar is good getting a lot of lead guards in his motion offense. Probably one-and-done, so he won’t be there if Michael Porter Jr is going to head off there, given that Romar is Porter’s god-father and his brother just committed there. You can add UW onto this list for up-swing too now.

Syracuse has a five star recruit coming in next year from the tri-sate area (Tyus Battle).  He backed out of his committment to Michigan to go to Syracuse despite the NCAA sanctions and reduced scholarships.  As far as not being in "contention" for the top talent anymore….Michael Porter a top 3 player in the Class of 2017 is considering the Cuse.  In fact he asked them to recruit him.

Yeah I think youre a bit off on Syracuse, they have a top 10 class with a McDonalds All American this year, and next year have Tyus Battle along with another top 50 recruit locked up for 2016. And even though they probably wont end up with him, they made Harry Giles top 8 schools. I’d say for all the sanctions, they are doing well

To say that UNC is on the decline is a huge understatement.  They have fallen off the face of the earth since the Berry, Pinson, Jackson class.  The academic scandal and the perception that they can’t develop one and dones is a perfect storm for their struggles.

Texas A&M had the 6th ranked class this year and already has 2 four star commits for 2016, certainly on the rise recruiting-wise.

Yeah, they had a very good class. They should be a great team for some time due to the fact that they don’t have one and done talent on the team

Surely LSU is on the rise.

Was never really a basketball school but had 2 players drafted last season, and their current squad has 3 or 4 future NBA pros.

I think theyll be Kentuckys biggest rival school moving forward. That alone will bring hype.

If they were smart theyd replace Johnny Jones with his assistant – David Patrick.
