lisergxParticipantDefinately the second biggest steal in this draft, behind Marshon Brooks.

NJHooper95ParticipantShumpert has elite level athleticism. He has some steve francis in his game, not quite on his level but definitely flashes.

Jean_31ParticipantWhat about Jon leuer as the biggest steal of the draft

BigDParticipantRussell Westbrook in his rookie year at the moment, rebounds well, gets up a decent amount of assists, very good defensively, looks for his own shot and is always attacking the rim, and could be similar to him mentally down the track, we’ll have to see on that one though.

benjo34i remember at draft night Knicks fans was really angry when Stern say that Iman was NY Knicks pick and now he is they favourite player..he’s gonna be very good player and one of the better defenders in the nba.

JNixonParticipantI can definitely see the Stuckey comparison.

iguapops420ParticipantStuckey is a decent comparison but Iman has better potential as a jumpshooter. Not to mention his defense is ALREADY better IMO. The athleticism and physical profile is a difference as well.
I personally think he’ll have a better impact on the game than Stuckey. Rodney plays a losing brand of basketball IMO. Seems he’s already gained the respect of his peers.
You still down on Shumpert JNixon? Or has he been about what you had expected?

MkadozaParticipantA cross between Shannon Brown and Deshawn Stevenson. A uninjured Larry Hughes with strength. What every Knick fan wished Nate Robinson was….
….Thats all I got

ilike.panochasParticipantHe has definitely surprised me with his play so far. Coming into the draft, I saw him as an Antonio Daniels type PG. It looks like he has a chance to be a starting combo guard w/ defense.

sheltwon3Participantthe biggest steal may be Isaiah Thomas. Dude is outplaying Jimmer who went like 50 picks ahead of him.

Mr. 19134ParticipantKnick fans don’t know how to act when a draft pick plays well. Somebody define what a "steal" is? Because by my knowledge it’s a prospect who was never suppose to be still be on the board by the time of the given selection, or somebody who outplayed his draft position to be the point that if their were a redraft he would go signicantly higher. Iman Shumpert was drafted about exactly where he should of been drafted. It’s still up to debate whether he’s even a better pick then Marshon Brooks, Norris Cole, Chris Singleton, or Kenneth Faried. All of them players would of came in and made an impact on the Knicks. I still think Brooks will be the better player and if there were a redraft I’d be shocked if the Knicks didn’t take a closer look at Norris Cole instead of Shumpert.
Futhermore is there were a redraft who do you think would take Shumpert ahead of the Knicks? I don’t think any of the teams that didn’t draft Shumpert before the 17th pick are kicking themselves for it and would probably pass on him again for the prospects they drafted of him.
And how can you say Stuckey doesn’t play winning basketball but you basically implied that Shumpert does? Shumpert is volume shooter who starts at PG yet won’t get you over 4 apg but will get you around 3 T.O’s. Not exactly my idea of winning basketball.

iguapops420ParticipantProbably the fact that he is a great defender who is only getting better, gets the ball where it needs to go, and rebounds quite well. His teammates are already talking about how they feed off of him and his intensity. He’s not in NYK to be the PG of the future, he’s only starting the the 1 out of necessity while Baron is still down. Bibby is too old, and Douglas is simply not good enough of a starter.
4 years into his career, and Rodney Stuckey still looks like the same player he was when drafted. Not good enough of a shooter or defender for the 2, and not good enough playmaker and doesn’t have the vision of a pg. Simply stuck in limbo.
