    1. Minnesota: I love that they have multiple, 2-way players that can score in a variety of ways. They will be a perennial 53-55+ win team with Thibs at the helm

2.) Milwaukee: Giannis, Jabari, Middleton (I’ll throw in Henson, too) are really intriguing. They are a sharp-shooting point guard away from making some noise. I love their potential in 2 years.

3.) Denver: I considered having them at #2. I really like Jokic, Nurkic, Gary Harris, and Barton. Mudiay showed me something at the end of the year with his improved efficiency. With their stockpile of draft picks & tradeable veterans.. they are looking good for the future.

4.) Orlando: They have the fixings of a future playoff team, but I’m having a hard time seeing how the pieces fit for much more than a 45 win ceiling. Outside shooting & interior defense are their 2 weak points, which is being emphasized more than ever in today’s game. Hezonja is the wild card.. and if he develops into a top 10 wing than I’ll change my evaluation.

I pretty much agree with this ranking.

Think Milwaukee, Denver and Orlando have more nice young pieces but Towns could be an MVP type guy in a few years and Wiggins is a guy that if he hits his ceiling is a top-10-15 type player in the league too.

I’m not as high on Lavine but he’s shown promise, Dieng is a nice role player, Shabazz is alright as well.

I think in the case of the Bucks and the Magic, I really like their young guys but it seems like they don’t all fit together very well.

It would be tough to argue about MN not being top team in this discussion. I can’t wait to see what other player will become a key piece to Wiggins and KAT via draft. Could you imagine Simmons or Ingram on this team?!

I think Milwaukee is close to the Wolves, at the beginning of the year a lot of people would have went with the Bucks. The argument of Jabari and Wiggins hopefully will become a battle in the future, it’s too bad Jabari had the injury. G.A. Is an awesome player as well. It will be interesting to see who get in the draft.

Orlando would be my next pick, I’m a fan of the players they have drafted within the past few years. I haven’t watched a lot of games but I like their roster, if they can figure out to have a flow to their game they should have enough to get to the next level.

Denver I don’t know enough about as a complete team. They seem to always have role players but no one to push them to the next level. I’ve been a big fan of Mudiay for a few years, if they land Buddy or Murray they move up to the 2nd or 3rd best young team. Could be very Portland esc.

    1. Minnesota: Lots of potential on the roster. More importantly they have the guy that projects out to be the best player (Towns) of the teams mentioned. Wiggins still growing as a player. Rubio helps in young players development. They have a coach in place that should be able to turn a young athletic team into a pretty good defensive team.

    2. Milwaukee: Giannis, Jabari, Middleton. Hard not to like those 3. Good foundation going forward and they should have a good idea of what they need to put around those guys.

    3. Orlando: Players don’t fit. They need to figure out who stays and goes and start filling in holes. I like Fournier if they can keep him at a reasonable price, Oladipo seems like a solid rotation player. Vucevic is a nice piece. Curious as to how Gordon and Hezonja develop.

    4. Denver: Nothing excites me about this team. They have two solid bigs which is a plus. Haven’t seen enough of Mudiay, but know that he’s a PG that needs to work on his shot. Their best player cannot stay healthy. This team seems to have the least upside.

I’d go with T-Wolves, Bucks, Orlando and Denver in that order.

The T-Wolves have two legit superstars in the making in KAT and Wiggins. Lavine is a highlight reel player who has good upside too, Rubio and Dieng are still relatively young and I think the team is moving in the right direction finally.

The Bucks have La Freek and Jabari supported by Middleton and some decent young players but they don’t look quite as cohessive as the T-Wolves promise to be. Plus with Jabari coming off his injury this season he isn’t as far along as Wiggins yet so despite being a big Giannis fan I have to put them second.

Orlando have had a lot of high picks in recent years and despite improving by 10 wins this year and having statistically successful players, they don’t have that star player with real upside to push them into legit contention. Scott Skiles may be able to take them back into the play offs but the current team doesn’t have as much upside as the two above IMO.

Denver as Doubledribbler says above don’t really have a lot of young stars outside Mudiay although Jokic and Nurkic ( The IC Twin Towers) look nice prospects and bargain draft picks, the team is still undecided which way they want to go. I almost feel they could look to trade a few of their decent role players and rebuild around Mudiay and whoever they draft. A lot will depend where the picks end up this year.

Minnesota: Wiggins and Towns along with coach Thibs gives the Timberwolves a team that could contend in a year or two.

Milwaukee: Exciting young core with Giannis and Jabari Parker. They have a ton of potential but lack shooting as others mentioned.

Denver: They are set for the future with a ton of draft picks and some great young players. Mudiay could be a star wether he ends up being a point guard or a 2-guard.

Orlando: Alot of great young players on this team but they lack interior defense and shooting. Will have to make some moves to shake up that roster. The Tobias Harris trade won’t look very good if they strike out in free agency.
