SkalAndJamalParticipantPorzingis then Sixers then Porzingis then sixers then back to Porzingis then back to the sixers. Anyone notice the warriors are 14-0, Carolina lost, heck that Greg Hardy is playing professional football! Oh no Staukas is a dead eye shooter who won big 10 player of the year in 2014, Sixers might have two of the 5 picks, and Porzingis is a 7’3 beast playing for the biggest market in the NBA is the same freakin info everyday that is put up on here.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantMore shooting range than Sampson. Not quite the athlete though.

whiteflashParticipantI’d say their pretty comparable athletically, but what Porzingis has in shooting touch, Sampson had in passing/handling the ball. Born and raised in Houston, and as I was starting to pay attention Sampson was a shell of his former self, but even then he was impressive to watch. Guys that size aren’t supposed to be going coast-to-coast on the break. So far, Porzingis looks to have that same "how in the hell…" factor. Dude’s that are 7’4" shouldn’t be shooting pull-up jumpers off the bounce or hitting step back three’s, but there he is.

Memphis MadnessParticipantThat was my comparison for Porzingas before the season started.
Hopefully Porzingas is more durable.
check out KP’s hook shot highlights on ESPN. Very nice!
waiting for the "Sixers should have drafted Porzingas" threads. lol

King CaluchaParticipantThat’s actually a good comparison. Sampson wasn’t asked to defend pick and rolls at that time even playing PF, since big men would usually just post up. Clearly, Porzingis’ range is better, but if Sampson played nowadays, he’d probably have a decent range as well.
