jcotingParticipantWatched the Gonzaga game tonight and was really impressed by Karnowski and Sabonis, particularly with Karnowski. Wonder why Karnowski isn’t in most peoples’ mock draft. The dude has a post game with an elite court vision for a big man. He’s also 7’1, which is a good size for a center in the NBA. I can kinda see a ceiling of Marc Gasol if he can maximize his potential. What are all your thoughts on him?

daggers818ParticipantI agree. He’s thick, clears space, and has a sound post game. I was impressed with those around-the-back passes to the cutters — very Gasol-like. Has a chance to have a long NBA career due to his size and offensive game. If he could get in better shape, he’d be solid.

llperezim not trying to sound bitter as he was very good tonight vs the bruins and he did his thing, but marc gasol comparisons? You do realize gasol is an all-nba all-star big man right? The biggest difference between the two is gasol has great length that he uses on both ends of the court. He keeps himself tall around the rim while karnowski brings the ball down and tries to power through guys. ddfensively, gasol is one of the best defenders in the league while karnowski is not a top 5 defender on his own team. I mean tony parker did put up 16 and 11 against him tonight.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantHe’s extremely slow and unathletic. He would definitely need to get in much better shape to play at the next level as the modern NBA game would just be too fast for him. Its difficult to imagine that he wouldnt be a huge defensive liability. He does have pretty good footwork, low post moves and touch around the basket. Its just that slow, immobile centers are kind of becoming extinct in the NBA right now.

sitlbitoParticipantI was more impressed with Sabonis. He’s longer than I thought he was,has terrific hands,is mobile. Not perfect on defense, but a terrific rebounder, seems to understand the game(being the son of Arvydas must help)

TarHeelRavenParticipantKarnowski will have his work cut out for him going against Okafor tomorrow night. Utah’s bigs held Jahlil to 6 points so he has a chance if he gets some help.

RUDEBOY_Participanthe’s a very long way from becoming another marc gasol..lol….he does have good fundamentals and a nice feel for the game..gasol is a better defender and has more length…karnowski struggles on that end of the floor…
i think he’s a borderline nba player..and might go undrafted if he came out this year..
but another year will do him a world of good…he needs to work on getting into better playing shape and improving his jump shot ..
he could be a 2nd round pick in 2016..alot of teams might be interested in him..because he has great size & strength,he’s a good passer and has the ability to score inside……
im a big fan of sabonis…i think he’s a lottery pick if he comes out this year…

ncballerVery interested in his matchup against Okafor. Poetl and Bachinzky outplayed him and did a wonderful job not letting him get the ball in his comfort zones. We should see a big battle on Sunday.

OhCanada-ParticipantHe should be good for spot minutes and positional matchups in the NBA but most teams would be able to negate his effectiveness by attacking his weakness which is his lateral quicks. He needs to do some serious conditioning although he is definitely NBA material.

ph90702He should get picked in the 2016 NBA draft. He’s not very athletic, but he’s very fluid and has a high basketball IQ. He also has done of good job of improving his body. He’s lost a lot of weight since his freshman year.

TRC1991ParticipantDomatas Sabonis is more left-hand dependant than any player I’ve ever seen

llperezI defenitely felt that way last night, he turned into the defense so he could go left every time, nba defenders will eat that up.

JoeWolf1Karnowski is a lot like Aaron Gray. Extremly large, but a player with soft hands and a nice feel for the game. A guy that big, despite his lack of speed, that has his great footwork, and soft hands will most likely get a shot in the NBA.
I could see Przemek being a 3rd string center for a long time in the NBA.
