So I read a snippet from Zach Lowe stating Indiana is not entertaining offers for PG13 at this point and are looking to find him help, personally I’m all good with this I say lets have a go at it.

    So what do Indiana do:
#1 – Well rumor is Brooklyn will take contracts on for draft picks, so how about Jefferson and Ellis’ expiring contracts with 18th pick in a salary dump. (They would only need to pay them for 1 season)
With this money I look at Paul Millsap, who although aging still playing at a high-level and could be that glue guy like a certain D-West of a few seasons ago. Then get Jeff Teague back in the fold along with CJ Miles as your starting SG.
PG. Teague SG. Miles SF. George PF. Millsap C. Turner as starting line-up.

Now Indiana’s bench was terrible until Stephenson got there, so I say keep him there and he could be a 6th man candidate, but who joins him? I have Thad Young and Kevin Serpahin as certainties to join him, from there I look at Rudy Gay who is coming off a large injury and could potentially look to go somewhere cheap, but to win. Between PG/SG: Stephenson SG/SF/PF: Gay PF/SF: Young C/PF Seraphin you have a nice bench. You don’t get Gay then you need to look elsewhere, but this is a challenger in the East no doubt.

#2 – Keeping with the Millsap theme, if he tells Atl he wants to leave then Sign & Trade with Indiana for Ellis, Jefferson and 18th.

That 18th pick will likely need to go, but if Indiana wants to keep PG13 it ain’t going to help them achieve that anyway.
I would talk to teams who are struggling but clearly have star/potential star players to offer up the likes if NY/Anthony PHX/Bledsoe CHA/Walker MIN/Lavine etc.

Kevin Pritchard was a very pro active deal maker in his days at Portland and managed to always end up armed with picks. He is the sort of guy who could make a big move on draft night.

Jefferson has a $10 million team option for 2018/19 so that could be a nice trading piece as the receiving deal could get value for it if Pacers moved him on.

I think the biggest thing is just moving Ellis. He’s a good player but not in the system and roster they have. He stagnates ball movement and isnt a good enough shooter to space the floor. Move him and I think they improve at least 4-5 wins next season

I think Brooklyn can get a higher pick for a dump tbh. If they just absorb 20mil in salary they should be able to get a much better pick, multiple picks (Portland) or even a young stud. Salary cap space is basically all that Brooklyn can offer and I dont think they’ll spend 20million on 18th and put themselves in a position to not be able to rack up many other assets.

Yeah you might be right on that front, hence why I chucked in the straight Millsap for Ellis, Jefferson & 18th swap.
That one actually makes more sense meaning Atlanta walk away with nothing. (Obviously the S&T can’t take place till after the draft though)
