festar35ParticipantThe Pacers trade the rights to Paul George, TJ Ford and Troy Murphy for Al Jefferson and Jonny Flynn?

JJeff6Participantdoes it work financially?

WrecklessParticipantSo twolves would have george, ellington, brewer, johnson, and webster? Is that good or bad?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 12:35pm #343326
festar35ParticipantIt does if you throw Ryan Hollins into the mix.

festar35ParticipantMinny could start Johnson and George, and then have Webster and Brewer off the bench.

Meditated StatesParticipantIf the contracts match up indie gets their pg. Good trade if George does not become a beast. I think Al is a better post man than Troy, but their numbers in scoring and rebounding are similar if George is T Mac two it could hurt. Only if they believe Flynn is truly the answer to them getting steady playoff appearances.

T-Wolvesfan13ParticipantNo way the wolves make that trade! Why would they give up 2 very good players for an unproven rookie and a couple of guys who have done nothing as of late? I mean Flynn is better then ford and younger! And big Al is better then murphy on one leg! And the wolves have a young wing in johnson, So why would they want to hold him back by giving his mins to a worse player?

Meditated StatesParticipantI like Al over Troy too just not in the triangle

meisi4Participantsounded good till i read the name flynn. i think he played a good rookie season and it would be a bit to one sided if they add him. just take him out and i think it is a trade that could happen…
think they wanna get rid of jefferson but not of flynn and not at all cost. i say flynn won´t be added in a trade till rubio comes over (if that is to minny)…

festar35ParticipantFrom what i have heard the T-Wolves aren’t that confident in Flynn running the triangle offense.

llperezdont like it for minny. Jefferson will probably be moved, but not for cheap. They will wait to get talent for him. ANd even though im not high on flynn, he is stilla solid young pg. WHat they get in return is:
murphy who is in the last year of his contract and could just leave after 1 season. Ford who is a bad contract and doesnt fit the triangle any better then flynn does and then george who is a risky and unproven rookie.

Lotto StudParticipantThat wouldn’t work for Minny because they would have a jam up @ the 2-3 position. They have Brewer Johnson Webster & Ellington already.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI like the deal but I don’t see it happening because I don’t think Jefferson’s value is that high.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 3:04pm #343370
llperezknicksboy, you dont think jeffersons value is that HIGH? Two expiring contracts that wont be around in a year and an unproven rookie who plays the same position that minnesota already loaded up at and jefferson who is a 20-10 guy along with flynn is not enough from the wolves?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 3:06pm #343371
Mr.Knick 32Participant2 expiring contracts who’s value could be higher closer to the Trade Deadline and a Rookie who’s compared to Tracy McGrady?
I dunno if Bird would do it. Just my opinion.

llperezthe wolves im sure are open to moving jefferson, but he is gonna be a steal on the level of pau gasol if all the wolves get is an unproven rookie out of it who wasnt even drafted top 10. I think jefferson will bounce back strong (remember he was coming off an injury last season and two years ago should have made an all-nba team) and teams around the trade deadline will be lining up for him offering much more then expiring deals and unproven talent. ANd thats before we even factor in flynn who is not exactly a throw in scrub.
Heres a question, everyone is talking about the free agent pf’s in boozer, bosh, amare and david lee. Why are more teams not going after al jefferson if he is apparently so available? That dude can ball and is overlooked in my book.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantWord LL, I would love NY to go after Al Jefferson

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantdam what is the ultimate summer goal for you 4 real….who do you think the Knicks should have drafted and signed and traded for….tell me your NY knick Team….
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 3:46pm #343388
Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI never said I wanted him. I would love to see NY go after him though.
I rather have NY rumored in 100 players and go there hardest and fail rather to see them go after 5 and fail. The more players I see NY trying to get just to make the team better? I’m happy for it. I just don’t NY to leave any stone unturned.

meisi4Participantllperez i think why teams aren´t that high on jefferson is injury and i think that injurys is what makes everybody so sure he and not love is being moved.
and totaly agreed you just get contracts that will create cap space and tj ford. the thing with cap space is that you just don´t know what your getting for it especially if your the t-wolves!
and maybe flynn wasn´t like a great rookie but i thougt he had a better year than ford and i think their style of play is almost the same!?so what exactly is minny winning in this?
