Um, I’m just trying to see what this guy does because my Rockets are going to sign him and have reached a verbal agreement. So anyone know what’s up? I looked at his stats and it seems like he didn’t get much of a shot. Only 19 games with the Raptors.

Also, Timberwolves are expected to announce what’s going to happen on Ricky Rubio’s dilemma in the next few days!

Hes a hustler, he is very athletic.
He hustles, and gets rebounds in limited minutes, but he isnt afraid to go up and dunk on you.
But hes nothing more than an energy guy.

i played against him in high school…… St augustrine prep.. he came over from London and played there… Check out his shot blocking #’s while at George Washington U… he beasted over there… Hes a lanky quick footed defender with great timing to alter shots… A little under sized but makes up for it with hustle and heart.

Very Athletic, can change the game in a matter of minutes……..I agree he a poor mans tyrus thomas.

But he is very good, only if given the time to play.

It seems to me that the Rockets already have a plethora of frontcourt players in the mold of Pops (undersized 4s who hustle) I really don’t see where Pops fits in on this club. I mean, after Scola and Andersen hit the bench due to fatigue or foul trouble, the Rockets are going to have 3 6’7″ guys playing the post (Hayes, Landry, and now, Pops)

or a Center? If he can play some Center he should get some minutes behind Andersen and if he is good then I think he can take away Chuck Hayes and Dorsey’s minutes, but the guy has got to play defense on our team. That’s our bread and butter. Defense.

We got depth at the Power Forward position with Scola and Landry and then Hayes. At 6’10 he is bigger then everyone on the team besides Andersen and Scola (Same height). Perhaps they can put him there and hopefull he can guard most centers and take advantage of his athleticism.

Pops is not a role player; he’s just never gotten the mins to play. He’s a really good player who would probably be in the top 10 in block every season. He would also be a double-digit rebounder. All of that “he’s a hustle player is nonsense.” He’s better than Landry and more athletic than Scola. However, Scola is more skille. Think of pops as a very atheltic Reggie Evens.

Dhamp…the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

I felt that Pops last year if he got more minutes would have very high rebounding numbers, I was hoping he would stay a raptor, but I think he’ll fit good with Houston.
