I hope his mouth can back his game..every year his ranking dropped. And he dropped 12 points in a senior game recently LOL…I think he’s mad Kentucky didn’t recruit him as hard.

“Everybody talking about Kentucky hype, but there ain’t really gonna be no Kentucky hype. There’s gonna be some Memphis hype.”

Do you think you guys are better than them?

Memphis’ recruiting class could very well wind up better than Kentucky’s. Half of Kentucky’s class will only be there for one year anyways. I don’t see any one-and-dones in Memphis’ recruiting class. Also, I’m evaluating the two recruiting classes based upon what they will accomplish in college.

I see nothing wrong with what he said. What did you want him to say, Kentucky had a better recruiting class? He was asked a specific question comparing the two classes, and he answered it the way he should, by saying he thought his teams class was better. Now maybe he shouldn’t of said it the same way he did, but he is young and I like the confidence.

And it’s really not even that ridiculous. Memphis has a really really good class coming in, especially if you count transfers as a part of the class. While they wont be as good as Kentucky’s players in the NBA, some of them could very well be better college players.

Confidence is a great thing, you should think you should be able to beat everyone. As long as your words aren’t a detriment to your team by becoming a distraction, then I think it’s fine to say you could be Kentucky.

I think Kentucky’s class is very overrated. Julius Randle is the only player I think will live up to the hype ala (MKG/ADAVIS/WALL/COUSINS/NOEL). I think every other player will struggle with some bright spots(ala goodwin/poythress) I really like Kuran Iverson(most underrated recruit ) better than any other Kentucky player expect Randle.

You’re opinion but what is is based on? Both twins have dominated every other player at their position as well as out playing guys last year when they we Jrs from the 2012 class. They have the size and ability that no one in H.S or college has. Dakari Johnson has dominated every center he has been matched up with. James Young is a elite rebounder as well as a elite score (top 3 in eyble) who also out played every guy at his position other than Wiggins. These guys aren’t comparable to last years because not only are they more talented and skilled but 3 of them were considered better than Alex and Archie last year when players we ranked regardless of class.

Kuran Iverson is talented but he’s inconsistent and only plays hard when he wants to unlike the UK recruits who consistently play hard. That’s a big difference with many players

This is just my opinion. I think the Harrison Twins won’t be dominant players from day 1, they dominate high school because they’re bigger and stronger than most, won’t be that way in college. They can be good just not dominant , very few players dominate college from the moment they step foot on campus(ala Eric Gordon, Durant, Beasley, Carmelo) I think they’re a tad bit on the slow side to really excel. Dakari looks to be just big, not very skilled or athletic. Haven’t seen much of James Young, we’ll see how good he really is, anyone can look good in high school. I just think Iverson skill set through the roof. Not to many player are built like him(reminds me of a young TMAC)

This site compares Iverson to Lamar Odom which I think is pretty accurate. He can do everything from the forward position just like Odom.
