I think Mudiay is being underrated. Are we forgetting how he dominated the Hoop Summit & all the other AllStar games? He’s not a good shooter right now, but he has elite physical tools with a nice handle & good vision of the floor. He can finish above the rim & through contact.

 

I think, physically, Mudiay may be tha best prospect since LeBron. He’d instantly be a top 5 athlete at pg. Is he the type of rare athlete that Westbrook & Rose (pre injury) are? Not exactly, but he’s bigger than them, much bigger. He’s 200+ & measured in at 6’5.5 with a 6’10 wingspan so when you combine that size with his athleticism, you see he’s a rare athlete. I remember in the McDonald’s All-American game, he caught a 360 oop!! I saw someone else mention Baron Davis as a comp. I agree with that & I’ve also used it myself. I think he’s more of a combo guard, like Wade was early in his career. I don’t agree with the Tyreke Evans comp because I think he’s a better athlete than Evans & a better shooter. Mudiay’s gonna be able to come in from Day 1 & go toe to toe with every other guard in the league. The longer he plays, the better he’s gonna get. 

 

I like Russell. I think he’s gonna look good, but Idk if he can finish through contact. He’s gonna look better when he gets to play with better teammates. I wonder how much better will he get though. I’m not sure about the Harden comp tho because Russell doesn’t have that type of body. I think he may be more of a Ginobli. I’ve also thought he looks like Rubio with a jump shot, which would be deadly. The way he sees the court is amazing.

I’ve been thinking the last week or so that Mudiay is somehow flying WAY under the radar. He was the consensus No. 1 pick for months! I was slotting him No. 2 to the Lakers as recently as a few days ago, but he could very easily drop as low as No. 7! That seems insane to me.
