Looks like he can score pretty good. Would like to see him attack the hoop more. Jumpshot looks very solid. He is going to keep getting better. Its summer L but from what I saw I still think a bunch of teams missed it here. What did you guys think of him today?

I was impressed he attacked the rim in post up opportunities and crashed the boards hard.

NBA scout told me today his team’s docs believe Perry Jones’s knees will only hold up for 3-4 years in the league. Explains why he dropped.

Seth Davis just tweeted this, interesting.

Just enough time for OKC to win a couple ‘chips….
(But I hope the kid has a long and successful career regardless)

thats when his rookie contract would be up any way and they would probally not have the money. If it does show wear they could always send him to get the thing Kobe and B-Roy had and that might make him even cheaper in his 2nd contract and them be able to keep him.

The knee issue is completely overblown. People are linking it to Brandon Roy’s , but it’s a whole different thing. The 3-4 years would be if no proactive treatment was done. One off season surgery to repair and prevent further damage and at max he looses 4-5 weeks in the off season.

His shining moment last night was pushing through Fab Melo for the and 1 layup. That’s the EXACT hustle and strength he was said to lack

How exactly do you know that the Knee thing is overblown unless you are a Dr who examined Jones3 knees?

Sullinger looked great as well. He was the leading scorer for his team during this game.  20 pionts and 6 boards in 24 minutes.  Not bad for someone with an apparently bad back.

Athletic freak. I hope his knees hold up. People said the same about Paul Peirce and he dropped in the draft. Maybe coming off the bench will save his knees some. I like the kid he came up hard. I’m pulling for him.

He won’t have to worry about double teams and pressure of producing on offense on a team like the Thunder. If he is able to collect 12pts 6 rebs a game it will be a success story and will surely boost his confidence. A much different tale then if he went to a lottery team

I have been high on him and his game for a while. I wish the Sixers would have taken him over Mo Harkless even though that was still a solid pick.

Looked very nice, he proved to me that he can play on the perimeter, he needs to muscle up a bit but he definatly looks like a solid perimeter oriented stretch 4.

But even more impressive was Sully, he looked great, I can really see him as a 15 and 6 offensive big, a strong low post guy that can score with anybody. He does need to lose a good 15 pounds, but he has very nice strength, I really like his potential in this league, I just hope his back issues and Perry’s knee issues don’t derail their careers.

still shocked he slipped that far in the draft.  By about pick 13 or so his reward far out weighs his risk.  But honestley, slipping this far could end up being great for him.  Will put a definite chip on his shoulder and could light a fire under his A$$ to reach his potential.  He could end up being a wayyyy more athletic Lamar Odom.  In terms of being the first big off the bench who brings a valuable and diverse skill set, and is taleneted enough to start.  I look forward to seeing the Thunder at times play with a line-up of Westbrook, Harden, Durant, PJ3, and Ibaka next year.  I literally dont think there is any team in the NBA that could match all of that athleticism at each position.  Ooooeeeee just thinking about it is getting me pumped for next season

the key to perry jones success is if he can play hard every night. What is he gonna do when things don’t go his way? those are the things i am curious to see

It’s one Summer League game and the same people saying he would be a bust are now hyping him once again.

@tounge out. You aren’t new to this site so you know people on here blow things out off of one summer League game all the time. Those same people will switch back if he doesn’t play well. Its good when first round picks play well in these games but people forget that thats what they are suppossed to do because they are first round picks. The should be the best players on the floor while playing with guys who will be D League players at best. Just about every player in the summer league is smaller, slower, less athletic than they are so it’s easier for them to get numbers.

Like i said its good that they do play well but it is expected against that low of competition. The biggest surprise shoul dbe when they don’t play well against this competition, thats a bad sign

Take this game with a grain of salt guys, its only ONE game. Yes he looked great but can he build off of this solid game is the real question, we all know consistency is his biggest problem so relax with all this hype

He was taken 28. Still don’t get people complaining about hype? The thread says it was just a summer league game. It was obvious when watching. From the 3rd quarter on he was doubled. Possible he will be focused from here on out. Said he wants to be one of the best. Looked very comfortable and has the tools. Yes one game that he played well in to boost his confidence. Sully looks like he can do some things and I said b4 the draft the C’s would take him and get him in shape. Watch out for Sullinger.

I don’t care about his statline and how great or impressive or unimpressive it was.. Dude did some of the exact things that people knocked him for…he had a few aggressive drives that people said he wouldn’t do… jumpshot is better than people knew about.. will be interesting to see how he develops.. him and damian lillard are by far the most intriguing prospects to me in this draft followed by wroten and drummond

I’ve read the reports about his meniscus, but that’s not enough for a doctor to suggest that his knees will only hold up for 3-4 years. There has to be more wrong with his knees. I feel like the full details haven’t been released.

Also it’s the little things that teams will get excited about with him. The stats aren’t that important its the ability to hit the open shot consistantly since Harden,Westbrook,Durant will get all the attention and most importantly how aggressive he plays. With Sully it will be how he runs the floor, how he defends, and how he gets his shot off against taller players

cost him alot of miney , if they are wrong (yes doctors have been wrong before- shock/horror) and hes knees are fine. Thats almost defamtion/slander can he sue for loss of earnings. I jest but its still only a medical ‘opinion’. who hade they compared him too as hes are rare athlete in terms of ize , coordination etc. OKC is a great spot just hope he doesnt get forgitten behind Durant/Ibaka

No he can’t sue for them saying its possible he won’t be playing in 3-4 years. It’s not slander unless his kness showed zero things wrong with them. If there is even a slight problem than what they said doesn’t fall under slander
