monkey23ParticipantWho do you think Dallas will draft if PJ3 and Sulliger are available? Will they go with Sullinger (red flagged for injury), who would provide more immediate help than PJ3? Please share with me your thought. I thought about it all last night and am still not sure what the Mavs should do.

fliptonnParticipantI think the Mavs are gonna draft Marshall. They need a PG for the future. If they don’t get D-Will and J-Kidd leaves they have no one to distribute the ball. Even if they go after and sign Steve Nash he’ll only be there for a couple years. I don’t think they believe in Beaubois enough to make him the starting PG (I think he’ll more likely attempt to fill Jason Terry’s role).

Moon RiverParticipantMonkey. Judging Cuban from afar, I would have to say he rolls the dice on the more talent ceiling of PJ3. Sullinger’s back injury would 100% scare me away from him. In my opinion, back issue never go away, they can just be treated and tollerated.

Sewok15ParticipantDo you think Cuban is actually the one making the pick? I think he is smart enough that he knows he should have someone more qualified making his personell moves. I could see them taking Sullinger but I have a feeling PJ3 will be gone by then. Like the previous poster said they are in desperate need of a PG so Kendall Marshall is the most likely pick in my opinion.

lilballa141ParticipantI see some of yall went out of your ways to avoid the question lol, but between these two it depends on need, and in this case Pj3 could provide backup at the 3/4 and could work for his minutes, but sully would be relegated to the bench cuz of dirk. Kbutter will most likely be gone by then though

DolanCareParticipantpj3 would make more sense in dallas than sullinger. The Mavs are becoming old and slow, so they will definitely want athletism over slow post-players. But IMO the Mavs really need someone who can make their own shot.

Sewok15ParticipantI agree that they need someone to creat their own shot. Delonte West was their 2nd option in the half court behind Dirk. Delonte is a nice player but he should be a borderline starter at best not your 2nd option.

rileymcshea3Participant^^^Delonte West wasnt are 2nd option in the halfcourt it was obviously Terry.West was out there mainly for his defense
BUT I’d rather take PJ3 because Marion might not be there much longer and Carter was taking the backup sf minutes .We also already have Brandon Wright which I think he will develop int a starter (much like every pf thats been on the Mavs). So if Perry Jones some how drops this low I think you deffiantly go with him .plus he is from around here so maybe he will be more comfortable
