Since the trading of Okafor and Ariza to Wizards, Washington now have a nice frontline of Ariza, Nene and Okafor. Where does that leave Blatche? Obviously he’s the odd man out and he needs a new enviornment. Why not with the Pistons.

Personally, i think that this would be a nice place for Andray Blatche to play. He could play nice next to Monroe. Detroit needs that one player who’s the "rebel" and demanding of the ball (lets be honest, monroe has a tendacy to be passive)….and i think that Detroit can help him adjust his attitude. He could easily avg. over 15ppg and 10 as a starter . He has great footwork, postgame, and athleticism. IMO, he reminds me a little bit of Demarcus Cousins..As for the draft, the pistons could draft a big or a sf (Lamb, Moultrie or Leonard) and have him develop within that season. The pistons could offer EITHER Daye, Villanueva or Bynum, all in need of a new enviornment to play…Personally i think that Charlie would be nice playing next to Okafor or nene off the bench with his sharp shooting and slashing, in which both players are lacking.

    Lineup could be:

Knight, Bynum, off-season pickup,#44 draft pick

    Stuckey, Gordon

    Prince, **#9draft pick (Lamb?)Jerebko, Daye

Blatche, **#9 draft pick(Leonard or Moultrie?), Maxiell, #39 draft pick,

Monroe, Wallace(if he resigns another season),

** Considerations for the 9th pick

that speeds up the rebuilding process (blatche is around 25 yrs old) Greg Monroe would be ready to play at a superstar level, Knight will be ready to play at the next level, stuckey will be ready and if we draft lamb, prince could teach him, and blatche will be ready for a new star as well.. and we could be in the playoffs..around the 6-8 seed..

    As for the wizards

    Wall, off season pick up

Beal(i’m guessing they draft him), Crawford

    Ariza, Vessely

    Nene,  Villanueva, Booker, Singelton

    Okafor. off-season pick up

Sounds like a good idea swap him for Villenauva. The change of scenery may help both players. Both salaries are similarly bad at least we get a shot blocker to help Monroe upfront.  Who knows, maybe Ben Wallace can drum some sense into Blatche….

With a relatively young core I wouldn’t trust Blatche. (we all saw what went down in Washington) I really like the idea of partnering Knight and Lamb together in their backcourt but otherwise the Pistons should draft a big.  Either gamble and take Leonard or take the shot blocking Henson, either way they both complement Monroe pretty well.  No matter who they draft the Pistons are still a season or two away from seriously competing for playoff conention. If they want to speed up this process they got to nail this pick.

it’s funny to think of Andray Blatche going to play alongside Monroe, cause Greg Monroe as a player is exactly a mature Andray Blatche.

also if this trade going to went down i think Washington will want to take Ben Gordon from all the options as they can find him a need in their backcourt, maybe also to make it a smoother transition for Beal by get him to play behind an experienced player in his position for start.

I’ve had Meyers Leonard at #9 on my mock for a minute now, but after the trade of Okafor and Kaman’s impending departure, I moved Tyler Zeller up to #10.  I don’t foresee this trade happening, but I think it drastically changed how the Hornets will draft at #10.

hopefully what i read on the warriors looking into Zeller at 7 is false since he would seem to be such a reach at that point. although i get why they would want him, and im sure are willing to trade down to take him, but word out is that there arent many people wanting the 7th over-all pick. unless theres someone who loves either Lamb or Lilard and want a guarantee they can get either of them, then its most likely a reach pick for the warriors on a ready to contribute rookie big man.

sorry for getting side-tracked on the thread. just reacted when i saw Zeller’s name on JW1’s post. i dont really like the idea of Blatche going to the pistons. im sure the wizzards would be happy to unload him, for his immaturity, disapointing production and bloated deal. but i dont really see him much of an upgrade over Charlie Villanueva. and when you’ve been in the league long enough and still have those bad habbits, its becomes less and less likely that you will shake them off. Andray is an offensive minded first big man who doesnt maximize all his physical gifts on the defensive end of the court. not really the player i would want to pair with Greg Monroe on the post. they’re better off with a Mareese Speights or Darell Arthur who have experience playing beside an offensive minded bigman.

i do agree though on selecting Jeremy Lamb with their pick. i know a ton of mocks have Henson pencilled in the pistons since his game is complement Monroes, but the Pistons did a great thing by taking the best player that fell last year, think it would be best just for them to do the same.

Unless Drummond falls, the Pistons have to pick Leonard.  He’s by far the best fit next to Monroe.  Blatche will be amnestied.  The Pistons need to find someone dumb (call Washington… a lot) to take either Gordon or Villanueva off their hands so that they can amnesty the other and restore some financial flexibility.

As a reach that pick would be for GS, it makes sense. They want a top wing and they all will be gone by then, we assume. Zeller will not be the start but he could be a nice option when Bogut is not on the floor. I could see them taking a look at Drummond too, but they havent had much success with Jeremy Tyler, so they would go safe pick at 7 with Big Z. I feel thats too high for him and he should go 10 to NO. I like what he brings to the table, but again, too high.

you know what PG, i can see the wizzards actually making a trade of Ben Gordon for Andray Blatche. thing though is that they’re contracts wont match. so its a matter of washington adding one of their young players to make the salaries match, either Trevor Booker or Jordan Crawford. but would the pistons prefer Blatche’s deal which is 5 million less, but one year longer.

HG25, i get what you’re saying and we’re mostly on the same page. it just comes down to the warriors looking for a player that they feel will fill a need over best player available. i would say though, that if the top 6 picks go as most of us expect, zeller’s biggest competition at the 7 would likely be the oakland native, Damian Lilard. the zeller pick is insurance or to serve as a back-up to an injury prone front court. lilard would serve the same purpose for steph curry who had a season full of ankle issues causing him to miss a ton of games last year.

Its a tough call to make in mocks ha  I had Zeller there but now feel they could go with Lamb, msking Zeller there for NO at 10. I wouldnt mind seeing Zeller in GS, but the Warriors are so hard to read. They do need insuance for frontcourt and for Curry, but they also need another shooter and could make Wright expandable. I’d say Perry Jones at 7, but too high, plus we know now GSW werent impressed with PJ3. I feel thr draft could get crazy at #7.
