FastAndFuriousParticipantIs it just me?
Do I give this guy to much credit?
Do I think he’s better than what he really is?
Someone please let me know!
But out of all the NCAA PG’s who’s entering the draft,or sending in papers to see what scouts think of them, I’m shocked he hasn’t done either.
This guy was the best player on an Elite 8 team, led the team in points, assist, steals, shot 40 percent from 3, and 46% from the FG, he is out of control at times(3.5 TO’s per game) but what people don’t realize this is his first year of major, big time ball.
I think he’s done exceptionally well for a JUCO transfer, and while Trey Burke,BJ Young,CJ Mccollum,Casper Ware,Scott Machado and the other fringe PG’s that may have a chance at getting drafted, why do you guys think Pierre hasn’t tried or isn’t going to try?
After Lillard,Teague,Marhshall and Wroten, I think it’s up in the air, and I honestly think Pierre was a top 3 PG this year as far as performaces go.

JoeWolf1Reminds me of Randy Culpepper. If he were playing at a smaller school, in which he had more freedom, I feel his stats would be very similar. I don’t think he’s an NBA player, now, he’s a fringe guy, in my opinion. He could probably put up big numbers in the D-League and maybe work his way in that way, but I don’t think he’s there yet and I’m not sure he ever will.
People love short guys who can dunk well, but from an NBA prospect standpoint, I’m not very high on him.

imahustla1ParticipantPierre Jackson is very underrated. This guy has a very good all around game and was not scared of starting in a big time conference coming out of juco. I could definitly see him in the NBA. He could be a Isiah Thomas (Saremento Kings) kind of player. There games to me are very similar. and Thomas is playing well for the kings even tho scouts thought he was a fringe player.Hes also my favorite PG in college!

FastAndFuriousParticipantI think his speed, quickness, explosiveness and hops will make up for his short stature.
The guy can shoot, he’s fast and athletic.
I think he will be in the NBA one day.

Future_ScoutHe can do more than just dunk. He’s got one of the meanest handles in cbb, Shot off the dribble is cash and is an underrated passer as well. He should take his time In school and learn how to play less out of control (tho he’s not as bad as people think). He’s also a pesky defender

TruettParticipantand Pierre Jackson has the athleticism to play in the NBA.. given Isiah Thomas’s success this year a team will prob take a shot at him… but watching him play on baylor was painful at times… he is not the best point guard in terms of setting up his teammates and running an offense. I think he is really more of an undersized shooting guard… he does get a lot of assists because of baylor’s shooters, but I dont think I ever saw him run a pick and roll with Acy, Jones, or Miller where he did not take it himself off the pick…If he left this year he might be a late 2nd rounder… If he stays he can only move up as he will be the leader of the Baylor team next year.

Meditated StatesParticipantShot selection was horrible. Plays too fast way out of control. He is fearless and plays hard. Poor PG skills to me. He is a gift and curse type player. Must improve running an O substantially next year.

uknationParticipantI like the guy but it takes more that just being fast and athletic. His basketball IQ for a older pg isnt that good. I think next year he has a chance to be a first rounder thiugh

417basketballfanParticipanti don’t how small you are.. if your that fast and can handle the ball that well he’s gonna get some playing time when he goes to the NBA. the dude is a blur! Call me crazy but if Baylor didn’t have him they probably wouldn’t of been in the ncaa tournament. At best they would’ve been on the bubble. but ya I like his game and I also feel his underrated

Charlie SheenParticipantPierre Jackson reminds me of an even smaller Jameer Nelson, serviceable PG if he can work on his playmaking for others, I mean he should of had, Acy, PJ3 and Q-Mill all getting crazy buckets.
low ceiling, low floor type of player

JoeWolf1Just because Isaiah Thomas has made a spot for himself in the league isn’t a guarantee for all short college players. Jacob Pullen, Sherron Collins, Randy Culpepper and many more small lightning quick guards have failed to make the jump.
He needs to work on a lot of aspects of his game, IMO, he’s a gamer, no doubt, but I don’t think he’d make it if he came out this year. Maybe after next season.
