Andrew1984ParticipantDragic over Lin: He’s a better outside shooter and less TO prone. Takes care of the ball. It’s close, though.
Mayo over Lee: I just have a lot more faith in Mayo knocking down shots than I do in Courtney Lee.
Beasley or Batum: It depends what I need; defense or offense. If I already have a club that has a ton of scoring options but I need some defense, length, athleticism, etc., then Batum. If I’ve got a club that has trouble generating offense and needs someone to knock down shots and score in bunches, I’ll take Beasley.
Humphries or Ilyasova: Ilyasova all day. I’m in love with this kid. And I don’t think he’s really 28, I don’t know how that rumor got out there. Ilyasova is like a Detlef Schrempf whose perimeter shot reminds me of Dirk’s. He can be scary good.
Lopez over Hibbert: Lopez takes up less space, but he’s more fluid, more of a basketball player. He just needs a kick in the tokus once in awhile to stay motivated.

CynthiaParticipantPG- Dragic or Lin –
While I think Dragic is the better player, he’s virtually unheard of outside of hardcore basketball fans, while Lin is already a household name. So from a business perspective Lin is 100% the better choice, from a basketball perspective I do think Dragic is better but I wouldn’t say he’s on another level than Lin, so this is a pretty easy decision.SG- Mayo or C. Lee
This is a tough one, I feel Mayo is slightly better offensively, while Lee is better defensively. So it could really come down to what you’re needing at the time. It’s also hard to compare because they have a different set of tools. Even though they’re both primarily SG’s, Mayo can play some PG & Lee can play some SF. So again this comes down to what you really need at the given time, but I’ll give the slight nod to Mayo.SF-Beasely or Batum
Batum is much more consistant, but Beasley can really shine sometimes. He’s inconsistant in both scoring & rebounding, but I think he has a much higher potential if he can put it all together. So I pick Beasley for more future potential.PF- Humphries or Ilyasova
This is kind of silly, Ersan is the much better player. They’re both good rebounders, Kris might be slightly better but not enough to make up for the fact that Ersan runs circles around him on offense all day long. Neither are amazing defenders so that’s kind of irrilevant. Humprhies is too one dimensional, while Ersan is very versatile, I pick Ily.C- Hibbert or B. Lopez
It’s crazy we’re even comparing these two, a few years ago Lopez was a top pick with a ton of potential, and Roy was an overweight player that not many thought would even last in the league. But today Hibbert is surprisingly the better player. I think Lopez still has the potential and could very well be much better a few years down the road, but he just doesn’t seem to care to progress himself. My pick is definitely Roy.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/05/2012 - 1:39pm #692430

PowerofXParticipantPG- Lin- all he does is LIN, will be a centerpiece of the Rockets’ rebuilding if he accepts their offer sheet
SG- Mayo- one of the best 6th men in the game
SF- Batum- one of the most promising young guys in the game
PF- Ilyasova- Kris Humphries shouldn’t be in a team’s rotation
C- Hibbert- soon to be a perennial All Star, hope my Pacers match the Blazers’ offer to him

ghettosermonParticipantPG- Dragic or Lin: I’ll take Dragic because of the less turnovers and more consistent PG play.
SG- Mayo or C. Lee: I’m sure I’m alone on this but I’ll take Lee. I’ll take him #1 because he’ll probably demand a slightly smaller contract, #2 Courtney Lee knows his role. He is a complimentary player and knows his role. He is out there to play solid defense. What seperates them though is that Lee is a far superior shooter. Lee has been a consistent 3 point and free throw shooter his entire career and people fail to realize that Lee was one of the top 3 point shooters in the league last year. For Mayo he is a far superior talent to Lee however he should be playing the same role as Lee but his mentality isn’t that. Mayo much like Tyreke Evans believes he should be the man throwing it up 20 times a game, unfortunately a team with OJ Mayo as your featured player will never content for anything. In Lee I know i’m getting a guy who fits and plays his role.
SF-Beasely or Batum: I’ll take Beasley to be honest based off of the money, Beasley will make half of what Batum will and Beasley although a headcase and not the best team player or defender, he’s an incredibly talented scorer and solid rebounder capable of putting up 20 ppg any night. If he can only mature he’s a great player in the league. Batum is a solid player who is way overrated. You can ask any Blazers fan for a guy pegged as a defensive stopper Batum actually has been average to below average defensively for much of his career. Offensively he shows flashes of slashing and shooting ability but nothing consistent. He’s definitely taken strides last year but is he worth 8 mil a year let along 11 heck no if you ask me.
PF- Humphries or Ilyasova: I’ll take Illyasova, he’s far more talented offfensively and can also put up huge rebound numbers any given night. His offensive versatility makes him better than Humphries. Humphries gets by on effort.
C- Hibbert over Brook Lopez: 14.5 mil a year for a legit 7 footer with Hibbert’s skill set is not as much of an overpay as people think. Hibbert is such a precense down low and his passing is so underrated. You can run the offense through him through the high post. His increased mobility makes him an easy choice, I’d much rather pay him max than Lopez 10 mil a year. Lopez is a rare breed for a 7 foot center, he’s more likely to get 20 points in a game than more than 3 rebounds.
