Imaking6004ParticipantWith a new coach and a young team, do the Suns have what it takes to compete in the Western Conference or is this a rebuilding year?
Check out my opinion on their upcoming season

What are your thoughts on the Suns?

Wavy BagelsParticipantRebuilding year. I expect them to be at the bottom of the West and in the lottery. Their backcourt is solid in the rebuilding process, Gortat could be an eventual trade chip and Alex can become something special given the time. I think changing the team culture from an offensive juggernaut to a defensive team is long overdue and should be considered. Their future is unknown, but the Suns are going in the right path.

Chilbert arenasParticipantNo, they have no chance of competing and will be at the bottom five of the league. And as a Suns fan I’d rather have them there then barely missing the playoffs and getting the 13th or 14th pick.

TarHeelRavenParticipantI think a successful season for the Suns would be 25 wins…I just looked at their roster and it has the makings of an absolute disaster.

scootover7ParticipantI think they will be one of the 5 possibly 6 worst NBA Teams this season. (Philadelphia, Orlando, Utah, Sacramento, Phoneix or Charlotte

terrancebowerParticipantThey’re gonna be bottom dwellers once again, but this time with some optimism. Last year they sucked and had veterans on their team with less room for growth. This year they have young players who could blossom into real contributors.
They now have Len and Bledsoe as hopeful building blocks. Markieff Morris should get one more year to see if he can take a step forward before classifying him as a non-starter. Goodwin is kind of a dark horse as he’s talented but raw. They also have some assets they can trade like Dragic (I like Bledsoe better and wouldn’t play them both together for defensive purposes), Gortat, maybe some expiring deals.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Phoenix makes a trade trade this year and ends the year with 3 or 4 of their 5 starting positions locked up, with their eyes on the draft to complete their line up. Then they’re in the home stretch as far as development; just give the young guys playing time, and fill out the bench with vets and role players who fit the team.
Success for this team should be measured in the improvement shown in their young players and their cohesiveness and ability to build chemistry.

King CaluchaParticipant“If the combo guard played 36 minutes per game the whole season, Bledsoe would be tied with Russell Westbrook for rebounds”.
This is not how per-36 stats are used, becasue you don’t know how a player will perform if given more more minutes.

Imaking6004ParticipantYes I know that, per 36 stats are used to see the rate the player is doing for their stats, I’m not saying he will get that I’m just showing what he is possibly capable of.

44ears81I think the Suns will finish with a 3 Seed and make the Western Conference Finals, but be swept by the New Orleans Pelicans. I really feel as though Dragic is ready to take it to the next level and I think Alex Len will be the best passing big man in the league. I also think Gortat will lead centers with steals and offensive fouls drawn per game.

FastAndFuriousParticipantSuns will suck.
They have players you might want to keep and build with(Dragic,Bledsoe, Goodiwn, etc) but as of now they are not even close to contending for even the 10th spot in the West.
Their roster looks horrible, all though this is the perfect situation for E Bled to show what he’s really made of.

HitsterParticipantAs a Suns fan, I fully expect us to be a lottery team again, realistically we look a 30 win team who could get to 35 wins at a push. We will be looking to develop Len and hopefully get a decent package for Gortat if a play off team comes in for him.
