Could somebody shed light on the current situation in Phoenix. Turkoglu should be starting at 4 for whatever reason Gentry believes thats a good idea, what does that mean for Frye, Warrick and Lopez’s production.

Am I the only one who believes Lopez should really be playing 30 MPG so he could develop into a Varejao/Noah type player? Am I the only one he believes out of a possible 96 Minutes at PF and C that Frye, Warrick and Lopez should each average near 30 MPG which is not possible with Turkoglu starting at PF?

Whats going on in the desert?

If you could help me with a prediction on their minutes per game and statistical predictions I would greatly appreciate it.

Its still a wait and see if Lopez is indeed ready to be a starter, he had a good playoff series vs the Lakers, he basically made zero impact thru out the year until he woke up in the playoffs. Warrick and Frye will come off the bench. Keep an eye on Earl Clark tho, I still believe he can be a good NBA player and he has a shot to overtake Warrick and Frye and possibly steal some minutes from those guys.

Im asking because Im wondering if anyone in Phoenix has a chance to win the Most Improved Player award. I think about 5 guys could, Turkoglu, Frye, Warrick, Lopez and Clark but I doubt any of them will because there is too much depth. Maybe Turk can if he bounces back but I doubt he fits into this system at all because he needs the ball to be effective and Nahs is so ball dominant.

    Nash-35 mpg
    Richardson-32 mpg
    Turkoglu-32 mpg
    Frye- 28 mpg
    Lopez- 28 mpg
    Warrick- 22 mpg
    Childress- 20 mog
    Dragic- 13 mpg
    Dudley- RESERVE
    Lawal- RESERVE
    Clark- RESERVEl

    PG-Nash(35),Dragic(13)
    SG-Richardson(32),Childress(16)
    SF-Hill(28),Turkoglu(14),Childress(4)
    PF-Turkoglu(18),Warrick(22),Frye(8)
    C-Lopez(28),Frye(20)

Most Improve Player candidates? I dont see anyone having a breakout year on the Suns roster, Lopez has the most room for improvement so I would go with him. Warrick has peaked, so has Frye, for a team thats heading towards rebuilding mode, this is still a pretty old team and alot of them have peaked already.

Not as far as reaching Potential, although Lopez I think has a ways to go. Turkoglu had his worst year in a long time and if he becomes his old self he is a candidate, Frye and Warrcik will get more minutes and more oppurtunities for shots and rebounds although the reason I believe I will only consider Lopez a candidate is because he is the only one of the 3 who will bang, be tough, get rebounds and block shots.

Well they basically have no choice but to start Lopez so he will get his minutes, because you can’t have both Frye and Turk starting because its a disadvantage on the rebounding. Turk will definitely play better, cant see him playing worst than he did with Raptors, I expect 17PPG 6RPG 4APG from him this year, Lopez perhaps 10PPG 7RPG 2BPG. Frye is a 3 point specialist now, he doesnt play like a big man like he use to, hes turned into Sam Perkins.

Did you watch the Suns play last year? Why would we want Dudley as a reserve? He is probably our best shooter other then Nash and our second best perimeter defender. I believe Lopex will start with Hedo and we will do a lot of different matchups with that because Hedo is versatile.

I like Lopez and I think he could be a double double guy if he can get 30 or more minutes with 2 blocks but hey that is just me. Right now Phoenix depth and line up is strong cept at the 4 where they may play Hedo.

Why do you have 7 people in the suns rotation OhCanada? I would think they open up the rotation.

this is why i think Gentry is better than Dantoni, He knows when to go to his bench and change his lineup. He doenst automatically have to put guys back in because he is supposed to. Remember one of the Spurs series games where he left the bench in for almost the whole 4th quarter. I have a lot of confidence he will make the right decision and they will make another deep playoff run. People forget players careers dont go up and down in a straight line, if Hedo plays like he did 2 years ago with the Magic, the Suns will be deadly

yah Knicksboy I had no clue on the rotation, I made this post for some information on how the minutes would be distributed and asked to be corrected, not hated on.

Bobby if Turkoglu played the way Toronto expected him too for us, the Raptors could have made a strong Playoff push as well. BTW I am kinda not sold on what Phoenix is doing with 3 unexperienced bigs and then putting Turkoglu at PF, they maybe the worst rebounding team in the league next year.

    Phoenix will probably start:-

    Nash
    J-Rich
    Hill
    Turko
    Lopez

with Dragic, Childress, Dudley, Clark, Warwick and Frye as the bench rotation guys with Lawal perhaps getting a few minutes.

You could look to play Turko at SF but then where do Hill, Chidress, Clark etc fit in. Lopez gives starting size at C with Frye being an offensive presence off the bench. Phoenix may not have the greatest starting 5 but the bench gives them good depth so hopefully they can compete minus STAT next season.
