Who do you guys see philly taking?

    Have somewhere around 5th pick

Personally i like DeAron Fox, theyve held out on getting a PG and this draft seems stacked with them so this would be as good as time as ever. This is assuming fultz and ball are gone and i see fox as the next best PG above smith and Ntkinina. They may well take monk also as they need shooting pretty badly and TJ doing a pretty good job running the ship atm.

However i still think Fox is the guy for them. What yall think?

their position in this draft is superb. They have a possibility to make two picks.

    The best case scenario:

Imagine sacramento pick goes top, philly changes the pick. Then philly gets lakers pick being 4th. They take fultz and monk.

My insticts tell me that Dallas will move to top3. In that case philly can end up with fox and monk.

guard. And Monk looks like a Perfect fit for that squad.

The coachs & front office in Phila have been very clear that Ben Simmons is the starting PG

I like Fox a lot but I take them at their word & Fox would not fit with Simmons as the PG

I’m still in Shock the Lakers lost to the Spurs & Luke was clearing the bench trying to lose.

If Phila get Fultz & Monk or Josh Jackson & Monk it would be the most freakish Athletic team in the NBA – could u imagine the transition attack w/ Embiid & Jackson at the defensive end & Ben Sinnmons initiating attacks on the fast break dishing to Embiid, Jackson & Monk –

     Scary

Monk gets too much love.  I wouldn’t draft a spot up shooter who dunks with the first three picks. If Philly picks five I would take whoever is available, Isaac or Markkenan.  Both of those players have way more value than Monk.

I couldn’t agree more on Monk, he was an effective scorer at UK but at times seemed invisible. His size and ability to cover bigger 2 guards worries me. If I’m picking at 5 and Ball, Fultz, Jackson, and Fox are gone I go Tatum no doubt. A starting lineup of Simmons, Covington, Tatum, Saric, and Embiid is huge and terrifying!

Theres no way you guys can just call Monk a spot up shooter. Like hes Jason Kapona or something. Ive seen Monk create his own shot countless times. I think he is a standard good pick for Philly. Although I wonder if Smith or Fox would be better and I have both ranked higher on my big board.

The thing about Monk is he is so cerebral off the ball and the 76ers already have 3 capable ball handlers. Simmons shot is still ugly and he will need space to operate. Like Rondo.

I dont know if they should take Smith or Monk but I know Monk is a great fit. Im just really high on Smith.

A lot of people don’t realise that Philly has two shots at the lottery with their own pick and the Sac-town pick. If one of those comes up then the chances are that Lakers may drop out of top 3 so Philly are in a win-win situation.

Who they pick will of course depend where they are picking and how many picks they get, if they get two then they can spread their plans a bit, if it’s just one pick then it’s all in.

Backcourt seems where they may well target their picks but they still have to see Simmons in action and do they play him full time PG or as a point forward possibly occupying SF or PF role. Saric could be first big off the bench if Simmons was used in PF position if neither can play SF. Covington has done a decent job at SF but Josh Jackson would be an upgrade or he could slip in at SG.

Fox and Ntilikina are options as both are good defenders and Ntilikina could play potentially from 1 to 3 on defence. Tatum would also be in mix. Plus if they did use Simmons as full time PG then Isaac could be an option as he can play SF/PF and would give them length and a shooter. Even if Simmons did play alongside or around Saric then Isaac is an option as there would be minutes to go around with Covington too.

Monk would seem another logical target if they slipped down the draft or especially if they get two picks.

Smith would also come into my thinking as a potential explosive scorer who they might use as an impact 6th man initially.

Monk is a good fit, need a shooter. Ben running Point. As the way the Lakers are winning lately there pick may slide to 4th. And even if Simmons is running point and the Sixers have the 4th and 5th, I see them taking Dennis Smith or Josh Jackson at that spot.

It gotta be either monk or Smith assuming Fultz and Jackson are gone aND somebody mad the mistake of drafting Ball top 3.

i am guessing they will pick #4, and #5, but wouldn’t be suprised if they package them to try and move up to get their PG.

If Philly gets the Lakers pick, and odds are >50% they will get it, they should get 2 top 5 picks in this loaded draft. I see them wanting to package both picks to get Markelle Fultz if possible, and among possible number 1 lotto winner, I see Phoenix, Orlando and New York accepting the offer. A package of Fox/Smith/Ntilikina plus Tatum/Isaac/Monk/Markannen (with presumably the possibility to choose whoever you want more among the non Fultz-Jackson-Ball trio, and possibly even get one of them) is too much of an offer to refuse. Boston’s case and bigger jumpers scenarii are different.

You could argue that Philly would also prefer 2 top 5 picks ver Fultz but with how the team is shaping I think they would want Fultz more. He just seems too much of a perfect fit along their core of Embiid-Simmons-Covington-Saric (likely all 4 other starters next year, with Simmons PG on offense guarding SFs), and they already have multiple other prospects to develop, and 2 key players would be rookie in that scenario (Simmons-Fultz): that seems enough.

If they don’t get the Lakers pick, they still have a shot at Fultz if they move up in the lottery or offer a package that would include the 2018 Lakers pick, though I think there are way less chance teams would accept the package.

I can also see them package Okafor and two of their secound rounders (possibly along with Nik Stauskas) to get another pick in the mid-first round. A team that would need shooting, showed interest for Jahlil and has a shortage of secound rounders in this year of two-way contracts could very well accept it (Chicago? Indiana? Portland?).
