UNCbasketballbumParticipantCalls the Knicks "clumsy." Says Amare and Carmelo dont fit well together. I am in total agreement with Phil. The Knicks are a train wreck. I respect the fact that he doesn’t want to come back to coach a team in disaray. I hope this puts to bed any rumors or rumblings about Phil coaching the Knicks. NJHooper95ParticipantAmare and Carmelo have a difficult co-existing. Im not quite sure you can win a championship with Carmelo. He is too focus on scoring and nothing else. Defense is not in his vocabulary and he doesnt move the ball well at many times not at all. Amare is a shell of his former self athletically and I just know think this team will get it.

220ParticipantI think Phil Jackson is right and there would be no point of going to the Knicks. Although Phil would likely help the Knicks quite a bit, I don’t blame him at all for not wishing to take on the challenge.

MkadozaParticipantI wouldnt call them a train wreck, but the roster not fitting together is 100% valid.
And theres no surprise Phil Jackson doesn’t want to coach the Knicks. This would only be the 500th time in the the last 3 decades he said it. I have no idea who thought Phil Jackson would come to a team not ready to win a championship. Thats not his MO.
Miami however…. Coach Spoe No Mo’?
