basedSERBParticipantdoes anybody know anything about this guy. i heard he was super atlethic and is 6’11 but plays small forward which is insane, he pretty much is like nemanja bjelica in body size and height and even kind of plays like him (can shoot 3’s at 6’11) but with less passing ability and better post skills. does anybody thing he will help lead Baylor to a final four with lacedarius dunn?

Michael.S.ParticipantBold prediction- #1 pick next june…One of the best “prospects” I have seen

basedSERBParticipanti think he could average like 18ppg, 8rebs, 4 ast in college

ilike.panochasParticipantHarrison Barnes is better than him. And Perry Jones will not be a SF in college or NBA, hes a PF, he reminds me of LaMarcus Aldridge.

MagikKnickParticipanthe has no true position, hes been listed at every position except PG, he seems to dissapear in games
yeah, he has AMAZING physical tools, but he just seems a bit overhyped to me…

basedSERBParticipanthes more athletic than lamarcus aldridge and i think he will play sf both in college and nba. after a couple of years go by and he gets older then he probably could make the transition between small forward and power forward. same thing with nemanja bjelica

apb540ParticipantHe needs to pick a position first. Right now he could play 3-5 but which one would he be best at? Cant wait to see him at Baylor this yr.

ilike.panochasParticipantFirst off, your obviously not from the USA, because theres not a coach in NCAA that will put Perry Jones at SF. Baylor just lost Ekpe Udoh, and you think Perry Jones will play SF for Baylor?
And Harrison Barnes is still better than him, and Barnes is pretty much the consensus #1 pick in 2011. Theres not a mock draft out there that doesnt have Barnes as #1.

basedSERBParticipanthhaahah i respect your opinion, the thing is ive never seen a player so tall play sf in the usa and i would really like to see one thats all, and i hope baylor coach will play him at sf. it doesnt matter really if he plays sf or pf he will still will be good and will be a top 5 pick next year. also i dont think u can predict who will be #1 pick so early. barnes is really good but what if perry jones turns out to be better?

ilike.panochasParticipantI wasnt trying to be rude or anything, but I have been following Perry Jones the last 2 years and I just dont see him as a SF in college or NBA. I see a bit of Anthony Randolph in Jones.
As for who is better between Barnes and Jones, from what I know and scouts have said, Barnes’ attitude and work ethic is already at an NBA level. Perry Jones is probably more gifted that Barnes physically, but Barnes’ intangibles makes him a “safe bet” to be an NBA Superstar. Ive heard Perry Jones lacks intensity and being soft, but theres no denying his talent.

HaleParticipantHonestly I love Perry Jones as a prospect. He has all the tools to be amazing, but he doesn’t even dominate a lot of high school games. He has way too many 4-7 point 5 foul games for me to believe he will ever harness his massive potential right now.

JNixonParticipantHe reminds me of Rudy Gay more so than Durant.
I think Jones will be a combo forward at Baylor. He’ll probably see most of his time at PF though in college, as Baylor will use him as a mismatch PF just like they did with Udoh last year. Baylor has another long and athletic wing in Anthony Jones (look out for him next year) that will man one wing and he has nice scoring potential. Many didn’t notice, but Udoh saw a good deal of time last season at the 3, when they elected to play him, Quincy Acy and Josh Lomers at the same. Perry Jones will afford them the same luxury. Jones’ NBA position will be SF though, definitely.
And yes, I think Baylor has a chance at the Final 4. LaceDarius Dunn is my favorite player to watch in the college game, and I think that if they figure out their PG situation they will be a legit Final 4 team. That is a big if though, as returning backup PG AJ Walton was inconsistent and often ineffective as a freshman. Of course, he was a freshman though.

the I in winParticipantI think he will be put at the 4 and 5 in college but on offence he will be high post so he will still get to use his perimeter skills. I think he will play the 3 and 4 in the NBA.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI get really confused when watching this guys highlights, like someone previously stated he gets listed anywhere 2-5 and this just adds to the confusion:
Looks like Kevin Garnett here:

Then looks like T-Mac here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quxsxSe1YTo
But if he could but it all together….MAN

ball4life66ParticipantI saw him play against Derrick Favors on TV and he didn’t impress me at all. His highlights look good but he is extremely overhyped IMO.

BiggysmallsParticipantYeah he seems like he’s all hype. Just cuz he’s 6’11 220 doesnt mean he’s like Kevin Durant though. It’ll be interesting to see if he can put it together, because based on his physical ability and skill set, he could be an intriguing player.

Afactor4ParticipantHe was quiet in the McDonalds game, but on paper he is quite the prospect. Length, Athleticism, Touch, Quickness, and all off the charts.
