BlazermannParticipanthttp://www.undeniabletv.net/home/kendrick-perkins-deletes-twitter-account-after-griffin-dunk-.html … I really feel sorry for the guy lol but he choose to contest the dunk of the human springboard that is Blake Griffin . This happens to the vest of them I wish get would of handled this better but by the looks of it he’ll actually have a reason for his angry face next time he plays

mcbaileyParticipantLet’s pretend that Blake Griffin tries that same dunk over Kendrick Perkins ten times. Perkins blocks that shot five times out of ten. I absolutely do not think any worse of him because of that dunk, nor do I think he was stupid for trying to contest it. People get dunked on. It happens.

WolfRobParticipantLets not take away from Blake’s freaky athleticism… I think Blake dunks that 6 out of ten times, gets fouled 3, and blocked maybe once… With that being said, Kendrick did what he is paid too do. He holds down the paint and its his job to go up and contest that. He protects the paint.

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantUmm if someone doesn’t try to go up against blake Griffin going for a dunk then they shouldn’t be in the NBA. Defense isn’t where you defend whenever they can’t embarrass you. If Perk would’ve blocked that to the second row we would all be laughing about it. He was doing what he is known for, playing defense. If players just start hiding to keep from embarassment they should go off to europe. Perk knew what he was in for when trying to block the best dunker in the game right now, but the fact that he still tried with all he had to block it showed his character. Its not like the thunder aren’t the best team in the West still.

SwatLakeCityParticipantAt first I felt sorry for him, but now he is just being a sore loser. So what, you just became the recent victom of the human pogostick (Blake Griffin). Guys get dunked on all the time. Yes, it was a vicous dunk, and yes Perkins prides himself on a being a defensive force, but get over it. Everyone has got to learn, everyone makes a mistake. Doesn’t Perkins know that good offense always trumps good defense no matter how great the defense may be?
I mean you don’t just go and delete your twitter account just to get rid of public humiliation. If anything this is only going to incite the public even more. All he is doing is feeding the fire. The press loves humiliating someone, anyone, especially members of one of the best teams in the league. What he needs to do is just laugh with the public humiliation he will receive, learn from his mistake, and do better next time. Basically just forget about the posterization. Things like this happen all the time, deal with it.

GronounoursParticipantHi guys, here I go for my first post on the site. I hope you’ll pardon my English, I’m from Belgium (great BB nation as everybody knows).
To be dunked on is something that happens all the time; in Europe, people don’t see it as a humiliation (or less so). When you see a great dunk, you see just that : a great dunk. Not a "poor posterized guy, go and hide yourself, haha!". As someone else already said, a defender is supposed to try and block the shot ; if he does block it, perfect, if not, nice try.
To be honest, this "posterizing humiliation" is quite childish to me. Missing a dunk, airballing a free-throw: that’s humiliating. But being under the rim when someone happens to dunk?? What kind of "humiliation" is that?

CoolidgerParticipantBoy, I wouldn’t wanna be Ian Mahinmi tonight.
Or any Mavericks player intending on taking the ball into the paint, for that matter…
