HaleParticipantIf you could take parts from any NBA player in the league right now (no one in this 09 draft class) and make the perfect basketball player who would you do?

nikeduck24ParticipantMindset – Kobe Bryant (watch “Kobe Bryant Doin’ Work” and you’ll know why)
Shooting – Ray Allen (Best pure shooter, arguably in history)
Vision – Jason Kidd (in his prime)
Rebounding – Dwight Howard (Beast)
Defensive Abilities – Chris Paul (Lock down point guard)
Post Skills – Yao Ming (Big MoFo that can shoot like a 6’5 SF)
Body to put them all in – Lebron James (can’t beat 6’8, 260)0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 5:25pm #156847
futureGM22ParticipantJoe Johnson
Kyle Korver
Rajon Rondo
Lamar Odom
Shane Battier
David West
Al Thornton0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 5:27pm #156849
nikeduck24ParticipantVERY interesting combo. Didn’t include any of the 3 best players in the league….
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 5:37pm #156856
futureGM22Participantintentionally excluded the most elite players
looking back i would trade joe johnson’s mentality for chauncey billups’ though0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 5:37pm #156857
nikeduck24Participantand what was ur reasoning behind that?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 5:44pm #156861
c-dubeParticipantBattier – Studies the game, defensive genius
Reddick – Best shooter, just happens to be in a terrible basketball body
Nash – Top vision, passing skills, play making from another terrible basketball body
Troy Murphy – Technique and hustle over size, strenght and athleticism
Artest – Tenacity, anticipation and hustle
Duncan – Most dominant footwork since hakeem
Tyrus Thomas – Elite fluidity, athletic ability and lengthmostly guys who are considered bad athletes then put into an athletic freak… could change thomas for a number of guys but it’s based on combine measurements.

nikeduck24ParticipantReddick over Ray Allen? hmmmm

futureGM22ParticipantRead the subject of my initial post. “I’ll try to get away from the obvious picks ”
Instead of repeating exactly what everyone that watched the all-star game this season would say, I thought that I would think a little harder and come up with some players that specialized in each of these things0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 5:48pm #156864
nikeduck24Participantthey are the “best” players for a reason lol
the person that posted this picked Kobe, Ray Allen, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Ron Artest, Shaq, LeBron. So idk what you are talking about….

futureGM22Participantok, but I decided to go a different route. So should I have made a completely new forum saying “perfect player besides kobe, lebron…” ?
I thought my subject was clear0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 6:23pm #156876
Ryan.Cook2Participantmindset : K.G. (predicted championship next two years for celtics)
shooting : dirk (makes everything even if someone is in his face)
vision : cp3 (most assists in the nba on a mediocre team)
rebounding : millsap (if he was as big as Howard he would get 15 boards a game)
defense : battier (puts his hand in his mans face every shot)
post skills : Gasol or Duncan (gasol scores down low with no strengh while Duncan scores with no speed)
body : Yao or shaq!! (this one should be obvious, why wouldn’t you want a player this skilled to be in the body of a giant)class dismissed

thegift1236ParticipantI like Montell’s history one. I would go Magic over stockton though
mindset – Kobe,
shooting – Ray Allen probably, Durant maybe in a few years…
vision – Nash, Kidd, Paul…effiecency-wise Paul
rebounding – Dwight
defense – Kobe, or Dwight, or Battier, or Paul, or KG, D-Wade has a sick year
Post skills – Duncan
Body – Manute Bol would be unstoppable with these skills0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 6:58pm #156888
gwh21ParticipantMindset – KG…When he plays, he might be clinically insane. UNBELIEVABLE intensity
Shooting – Ray Allen…when he catches fire, lookout
Vision – Deron Williams…its not about the amazing pass, its about what leads to the easy finish
Rebounding – Dwight Howard…freak
Defensive Abilities – i wish i could hybrid Battier and Artest, knowledge of Battier and tenacity strength and mindset of Artest
Post Skills – Al Jefferson…true post player, uses his body well and is able to score with limited shooting ability and athleticism
Body to put them all in – Lebron James…might as well put a skilled freak into a physical freak0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:42pm #156894
DeedsMindset – Kobe Bryant
Shooting – Ray Allen
Vision – Chris Paul
Rebounding – Dwight Howard
Defensive Abilities – Ron Artest
Post Skills – Tim Duncan
Body – Lebron James0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 7:42pm #156895
Ryan.Cook2Participantwhen you create a player on a video game you dont put them at 6′ 8 you make them as tall as the game will let you. why wouldn’t you do that in this senerio. Also if Howard and Millsap were in the same body, Millsap would be a better rebounder.

rvirsalParticipantMindset – Kobe Bryant (do i even have to explain this one?)
Shooting – Peja Stojakovic (used to be the 3pt king, nice quick release on his jump shot)
Vision – Steve Nash (during the MVP seasons, he looked like he had eyes at the back of his head)
Rebounding – Ben Wallace (when he was still the Big Ben of Detroit, had a couple of consecutive 20rebound games)
Defensive Abilities – Bruce Bowen (during championship runs by the spurs)
Post Skills – Timmy D (no one’s better at using the glass)
Body to put them all in – Rasheed Wallace (he’s the most underrated player, he’s athletic, got all the physical tools but he doesn’t have the killer instict)Okay, just imagine a 6’11 260lb player with Kobe’s mindset, has range, passes crazy like steve nash, rebounds well on both ends, locks you down like bruce bowen and uses the glass like timmy d. that’s a one man team.

scoobydooParticipantMindset – Kevin Garnett’s. the man’s a machine when he plays well.
Shooting – Kobe’s. he can make shots in people’s faces.
Vision – Steve Nash’s. simply an amazing passer.
Rebounding – Dwight Howard’s. he’s the new Mr 20-20.
Defensive Abilities – Gary Payton’s(in his prime). gets in your head. only PG to get DPOY award
Post Skills – Tim Duncan’s. he is Mr Fundamental.
Body to put them all in – Lebron’s. the man weighs 265 Pounds and is one of the fastest in the league. not to mention he’s 6’8”.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/04/2009 - 11:06pm #156916
spokomptonkdubParticipantMindset- Chauncey Billups. I love the way this guy thinks on the court. A real silent assassin. His actions out there speak volumes.
Shooting- Ray Allen. No questions asked. The dagger.
Vision- Chris Paul. Always knows where his boys are. Runs circles around fools.
Rebounding- Paul Milsap. Dirty work. If he was Dwight’s size he would grab 25 boards a game.
Defensive Abilities- Birdman!!…haha fantastic shot blocker of course as every basketball fan has seen. Great energy. Needs to learn how to keep his ground though. Has anyone ever seen the bird take a charge?
Post Skills- Pau Gasol. This mofo has the total offensive package down low. They list him at 7. But I really think he’s like 7’2. This guy’s offensive game is fun to watch.
The Body- Yea it’s gotta be Lebron of course. Can you say freaky? And I think nba.com has his weight wrong, too. He’s 280. Beast!0 - Posted on: Wed, 08/05/2009 - 11:00pm #196785

pointguardfunParticipantMindset – Kevin Garnett. Sports Illustrated called him as the “closest thing to Russell today”, Kobe, terrific mindset.
Shooting – Ray Allen, arguably the best, shoots it like a dagger, Kapono as far as three point efficiency
Vision – Jason Kidd, incredible court vision, Calderon, not flashy but effective, rarely turns the ball over
Rebounding – Dwight Howard, league leader in rebounds, Love, incredible knack for the ball, 19rebs per 48 mins.
Defensive Abilities – Shane Battier, the only one who can shut down both LBJ and Kobe, Garnett, he anchors the best defense in the NBA, my favorite defensive stop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3rDsgHJEeI
Post Skills – Tim Duncan’s. Fundamental, Jefferson, post moves are terrific
Body to put them all in – Lebron, SF 6’8” 270-280 lbs, wow. probably Artest, he’s chiseled and plays like a PF0 - AuthorPosts
