festar35ParticipantHill is proven and Hansbrough is great for Indiana. The only trade I could see these teams making is 23rd pick for Thomas if Indiana believes there is no other back-up PG option out there.

GottaBeTheShoesParticipant“(before you all go and Neg me, i realize they are a game away from the championship, and they exceeded expectations)”
Why care about negs? I mean come on… 99% of trade ideas are horrible.. So if you’re going to make Trade Idea threads, you’re going to get negged. No one on here is a GM and I think people severely underestimate the work it takes to pull off the right trade for a franchise. I just don’t understand why people post trade ideas here, It’s not like GM’s go on here and see what a basketball fan with more or less a lot of knowledge of the game thinks they should pull off as a trade. If you’re going to post trade ideas then go ahead but don’t ask us not to neg you.

kobyzParticipant^^unnecessary comment right there… no problem with making Trade Idea threads, if you gonna criticize this action you can go as well as saying that also not legitimate for someone to post his thinking on which player a team should draft and etc. etc. subjects. it’s all discussion and it’s all good.

Sharp ShooterParticipantI would trade Stuckey (and Singler) for Granger…
It looks like the Pacers are better off without Granger. With this trade this gives the pacers a good scoring guard who can slash shoot and dish to bigs (Hibbert) off the bench (who can also pair with Agustin). Also this gives the pacers cap space after next season.
Hill (Agustin)
Stephenson (Stuckey)
George(Young)
West (Hansborough)
Hibbert (Mahmi)This makes the Pacers stronger at the guard spot and another shooter at the sf they lack.
From the pistons standpoint. this gives them a proven high scoring sf who can post and shot the 3. Finally, gives them a go-to scorer in the 4 quarter. This also gives the pistons a chance to draft a pass first guard (in which they don’t have to spend their money on 25 mil cap space) or a scoring big off the bench. They can also spend that money on another star in FA like Chris Paul, Andre Iguodala?
Pistons lineup could be:Paul (backup pg)
Knight (English)
Granger (Jerebko) (Middelton)
Monroe (Len?)
Drummond (Kratsov)or
Knight ( MCW? McCollum?)
Iguodala (English)
Granger (Jerebko)
Monroe (Villanueva)
Drummond (Kratsov)This would allow the pistons to go deep into the playoffs, with the right chemistry

raybeasParticipantare free agents (Tyler has a $4.225 mil team option). Including them in any teams future is guess work at best.

Steveni dont care about the negs man, i was just saying that because like you said it comes with every trade posted on this site. anyways, i like the pistons trade idea. what i was thinking is i think the pacers need a better point guard or shooting guard then george hill, or i think they need a bonafide back up to david west. yes hansborough is good, but hes not a guy you want starting as your pf. hes a guy you can bring off the bench. maybe in the draft they can get a legitimate pf, so when david west does retire or leave they can bring in the draftee to fill his spot.

raybeasParticipantGive me the 7th pick in next years draft, and maybe.
Hill’s value lies in the fact he can guard SGs because of his length. Trading for Thomas negates that.
There’s no one available in this draft to make me take that trade. I’m a big CZ fan, and I wouldn’t even take that trade if I thought the Pacers could take him there.0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/01/2013 - 7:48pm #788373

CavsFan07ParticipantI’m still predicting the Cavaliers make a run at Granger..
They:
A) can absorb his contract being way under the cap
B) can maintain flexibility for the loaded 2014 Free Agent class since Grangers contract will come off the books after next season
C) Fill a position of need (SF)
D) Have the assets to pursue it.Also, if the Pacers want a vet instead of picks (which is more likely) they can get a 3rd team involved..
Not saying it will happen, but it seems to make a lot of sense considering Gilbert plans to make a playoff push next season.

I could see a Granger trade to the Cavs. Something like Varejao and 19 for Granger.
Gives the Cavs the SF they need so badly.
Pacers replace Hansbrough with Varejao. And save around 4 million from Grangers contract. Which they’ll need to resign West in the off season.
Seems like such a good trade it won’t happen.

Not sure how Isaiah Thomas is an upgrade from George Hill. Oh sorry, maybe you’re saying Michael Carter-Williams is an upgrade from George Hill…Nope, that one wouldn’t make any sense, either, hmmm…

psam24ParticipantI honestly had a dream the other day in regards to the Pacers obtaining Andre Iguodala. I’m not sure if this is possible with their current financial situation but a starting lineup of George Hill, Andre Iguodala, Paul George, David West, and Roy Hibbert was well worth the dream, that would be one hell of a lineup lol

417basketballfanParticipantI like the trade for both sides. Indiana does need depth off the bench and some better shooters to even out the benches poor shooting. I think that that indiana can get a better player for danny granger instead of those two. Also I doubt cp3 goes to detroit but gosh that we be awesome to see him throw alley-oops to drummond.

phila9012ParticipantI think the only trade the pacers should make is trading danny granger for more depth and quality on the bench. If they keep their starters together(they need to resign david west) and upgrade their bench that would be a pretty good offseason for them because getting to a game 7 in the eastern conference finals means they dont need to make major changes.

JmpasqParticipantU dont think they could upgrade the guards? Im not saying the Pacers guards arent solid starters and they may very well beat the HEAT tonight with this lineup. When I look at the guards I cant help but think that 1 guy that can take over the offense when they go into their scoring slumps wouldnt take this team to the next level. I love their frontcourt and with a trade chip like Grainger they might be able to get that piece.
