festar35ParticipantI was hoping that Paul George would turn into a SG but i don’t think it will happen he is a SF. So who do you think that the Pacers should go after in Free Agency?
Aaron Afflalo, Nick Young, JR Smith, Rodney Stuckey or Wilson Chandler (Can he play the 2)

delfamParticipantI’d probably go after Aaron Afflalo since he plays defense. He’ll also help spread the floor out to give Hansbrough and Hibbert room to manuever. Young, Smith, and Stuckey all are good but have some attitude problems that wouldn’t fit in Indiana.
If they get Afflalo and go after Jordan Hamilton in the draft I think they’d have a pretty good core for the future.

bozman11ParticipantI know Bird likes Stepenson alot, so there might not be a need to get a big time guard. If Denver is dumb enough to let go of Afflalo then they might want to pick him up.

mbunner23ParticipantTrade for OJ Mayo

sheltwon3ParticipantThey have Rush. Also it is still early on Paul George. I would not overpay a 2. Trading for one like Mayo may be a smart move though. Pacers biggest need is at the 4. Hanbrough had some good games but he is not consitent yet.

Lotto StudParticipantRush has no future with the team.Whose to say they won’t shoot for Mayo again this offseason.

festar35ParticipantDo you think Paul George could be that SG?

omphalosParticipantI honestly think George has the shooting stroke to play the 2, he just needs to keep improving his handle. If Lance Stephenson can stay out of trouble he could also be their 2-guard, he just needs to be brought along the right way and taught higher level team play to go along with his isolation skills. Rush is another possibility, the guy is basically Arron Afflalo, he can score, defends well and doesn’t need a tonne of shots to be effective, though as has been mentioned he won’t be around forever. The Pacers have all the young talent they need already on the roster (barring a PF) so why not take the time to develop it ala Thunder before you make any bold trades.
Seeing Anthony Randolph produce in Minnesota makes me wonder why Indiana didn’t take a chance on him before he was traded there; we all know he has potential (haha) but Minnesota is a terrible fit for him, playing behind Love, one of their few sorted players. That said, I think one of the international PFs would still be available by the Pacers’ first round pick depending on which college PFs declare. I’d like to see Motie, Vesely or Val would all be a good fit in Indy in my opinion.
