If im the pacers I try and trade Danny Granger for a top pick. I think with a couple of the top teams needing a SF and him being a really good option I think teams would bite on it. Also Paul George is the new face of the Team and Stepehenson has taken over at the 2 and I dont see David West going anywhere. So if your the Wizards or maybe even cleveland would you take Danny Granger for your Pick. He has proven he can take a team to the playoff and he still has some gas left in the tank. If it were me id take Granger over the likes of Porter or no SF at all. Then with that top pick I would select Trey Burke wich allows George Hill to come off the bench and be one of the better back ups and keep the core together.

Gilbert and mini Gilbert publicly claimed at the lottery that this will be their last year there for a long time. If Dan truely wants to put his money where his mouth is then I would take a chance on Granger being your second leader to Kyrie. With a healthy Varajao, that team could make the playoffs.

A package to Washington for the #3 pick would make all types of sense. For Washington a trio of Wall, Beal, and Granger would be lethal and for Indy they are already contenders without Granger and I cant’ see the Pacers investing in Granger who is on his final year as they need to extend George ASAP when they can, the #3 spot would give them a choice of maybe Trey Burke if they believe in him as a franchise PG, or a pair of local guys who could step in and start. Zeller who could step into the PF spot if David West leaves, and Oladipo who IMO would be an amazing complement at SG to George. Even Alex Len could be a dark horse pick if they got the #3 pick who they could form their own twin towers with him and Hibbert.

i was just thinking that oladipo would be perfect. went to the local university, is a great defender and would allow the pacers to lock down the opposing teams’ 2s and 3s thanks to a combo of him and george. i like stephenson one moment and cant believe hes starting in the conference finals the next. like reggie miller keeps saying its feast or famine with him but watching the last few minutes were driving me crazy! he’d make a great play with an offense rebound only to force a turnover on a terrible pass that same possession

and just having oladipo to go at george in practice everyday could help george’s continued development

I would like to see Indiana sneak up and grab McCollum as I think he would be an awesome scorer off the bench and it would give Indiana an awesome 3-guard rotation of Stephenson, Hill and McCollum who can all play the 1-2.

I also would have no issue with them going and getting a young PF like Zeller or Bennett to develop behind West and become the PF when his time is up, then hopefully hold the 23rd pick and grab Larkin or Lorenzo Brown for that PG spot.
