TRC1991ParticipantIn the Celtics vs. Raptors game tonight, I couldn’t understand how Toronto won 110-107 when Boston had outrebounded them 55-24 (!) but then I delved deeper and noticed that Boston had 27 turnovers to the Raptors’ 7!!! Led by Evan Turner’s 5 to’s (and 4 fouls) in 12 minutes, Boston squandered a way a good opportunity to beat a really solid veteran defensive team.

JordoParticipantI’m tryna figure out how Evan Turner got 5 to’s and damn near fouled out in 12 mins…

Chilbert arenasParticipantTurner could have had 5 charges called against him, that’s a TO and foul combo meal.

OhCanada-ParticipantValanciunas and Johnson didnt play and once Rondo, Bradley, or Smart beat the first man Toronto was lost on help defence. The gaurds defence really stepped up after the 1st qaurter buy Olynyk and Sullinger were just feasting off of Patterson, Johnson and Hansborough.
Steimsa played excellent though and I think he could steal dome of Tylers minutes going forward.

King CaluchaParticipantWell. there is what is called "the four factors of basketball". Dean Oliver proved that you need to be at least decent in all 4 in order to be a solid basketball team.
Those factors are: Shooting, Turnovers, Rebounding and Free throws. Of course we all know defense is very important, but that’s something harder to measure with numbers, while all of the previously mentioned can be measured. This is not an exact science, but it makes sense as a rule of thumb. Even slight changes in these factors can make a big difference.
