antiwork3000ParticipantPlayers who for whatever reason is not getting mins but if did would shock people. I say Hassan Whiteside has a good chance.

JoeWolf1Whiteside wasn’t even very productive in the D-League outside of blocking shots. He put up something like 7 and 6 against D-League opponents, and as a starter he picked up 3.4 fouls in just under 19 minutes per game. I don’t even think he’d look that good if he were playing for the Bobcats.
My canidates are.
Cole Aldrich – He’s extremely productive when he gets playing time. He’s really cut down on his fouls since last season and is putting up 12/10/3 per 36 minutes, and if given the chance I feel he could put up those numbers in an expanded role.
Dominique Jones – The guy can really ball and despite being a SG he is a pretty good disributer. He was a 19/5/5 player in the D-League and when given a shot in Dallas has produced including a game of 12 points in a win over Philly and a balanced 7/5/4 game in a win over Boston. He hasn’t gotten enough minutes to really produce like he could, but I think if he were given more reps he’d blow up.

Mr. 19134ParticipantI made a post not to long ago about this saying Evan Turner needed more minutes and that Collins has to show more faith in him for him to blossom.
Well Turner actually had his first start in a long time tonight and responded by playing great defense, grabbing 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and went 1-12 from the field. The 1-12 may look like an alarming bad game if you just saw the box score and didn’t watch the game, but tonights game was just a bad game for both teams shooting. Both teams shot under 40% and virtually nothing went in unless it was all net, if it hit the rim it never got the roll. I think the Bucks rims were too tight cuz it was really an odd night all around for everybody shooting but Turner made some great dribble drives and the offense looked way more dangerous with Holiday, Turner, and Iggy all being able to handle the ball in transition.
There are certainly a lot of players who would do better in a different situation with more minutes. Look at Kyle Lowry. I said from the moment the Grizz drafted Mike Conley it was dumb because Lowry was better. Well Lowry it better it just took a different team for people to notice it.
Marcin Gortat really broke out with the Suns last year and is continuing it this year.
Lin’s scenario was just so unique because of the circumstances.

rileymcshea3ParticipantJoe wolf I would agree with the Dominique jones one . He does run point alot when he is in the game , he is kinda like a less physically gifted tyreks Evans .
Espically on the mavs they always create these guys that are nothing and turn into something like devin Harris ,josh Howard, diop, humphries ,bass ,beabois and there newest one with mahinmi and heck this is were Lin got his first chance in the NBA when the mavs put him on there summer league team. They also are making Brandon wright and yi janlian capable of becoming starters in the league too

B FreeParticipantMy question is, Whats up with Samardo Samuels? He looked like a steal for the Cavs late last year when he averaged 7.8ppg and 4.3 rebs after going on drafted including 12.9 ppg and 6.3 rebs as a starter. He finished the year missing the entire month of April and some of March. I personally thought his emergence was one of the reasons they traded Hickson. But this season he started out on the bench and has gotten very little time. This year when he has played over 15 minutes a game he has averaged 7.7 ppg and 4.4 rebs and in the 3 games he has played 20 minutes he has averaged 12.6 ppg and 5.3 rebs. Why doesn’t he play more?

RUDEBOY_ParticipantBJ Mullens is putting up career numbers in Charlotte..
Mareese Speights is playing well for Memphis,he goes into mental lapses at times, but when he’s focus,he’s shown he can be a productive starter..Speights will be a free agent this summer…..

Future_Scouti always keep an eye on pittman EVERYTIME the heat gives him playing time, i think if they got him consistent time to boost his confidence would do him good. he’s soo physical (i remember dwight howard got a technical preseason cuss of complaining to the ref) pittman was pushing him and boxing him out big time. he’s very foul-prone and mistake -prone but he’s got a feel for where to be in around the rim… put up i think, 18-8 in the d-league with 3 blocks…
